He had chronic trouble with his shoulder and dislocations and when he fought Iginla last year it dislocated again. Rather than pop it back in and see how it healed, they decided to fix why it dislocated in the first place. That's all I've heard.

Probably a capsular tightening situation. Not the *best* surgery, but only because it can loosen again easily. I'm sure he had the best docs possible, so it's not too worrisome.

Hahahahaha. It takes a really explosive contraction from the muscle, and generally happens in a reactionary type way, like trying to balance after suddenly losing your footing or something. Ankle is a big place to see that with the distal ends of the tib/fib.

So irresponsible it's sickening. I won't lie, I don't know the rules in Europe regarding return to play, but a guy out like that in the US, and any AT would spineboard them.

Interesting. Just that? No ligament damage? Sometimes they come together. When the ACL tears nothing is keeping the tibia and femur apart, so they slam together, and volia, tibial plateau fx.
