Had to look that one up. Apparently his dad played hockey in the FEL when he was born, thus he is both Finnish and Russian.

John Tavares is out for the rest of the Olympics with a knee injury. No word on the severity from what I've seen.

If there's any consolation in today's loss it's that all four Russians are coming back to Columbus physically intact.

I hate seeing key players get hurt at the Olympics. Sucks for NYR and NYI. DETs gotta be a little pissed too.

Tavares' knee injury will keep him out the rest of the tournament.
As for Zucc, early indications are he will miss 7-10 days. Which isn't bad, could be back by next weekend. We'll know more when he's back in NY tomorrow.

That's a terrible loss for the Isles and the NHL altogether. Tavares is one of the best young players in the game, exciting to watch.
