I keep watching the gif waiting for Simmonds or Gudas to come flying in and knock the fuckin shit out Pavelski.......

One reason i would like Morin to make our team is so we dont have to have Simmonds sitting in the box for 5 to 7 minutes per game for retaliatory penalties. He is way to valuable.

Although in this case i hope he remembers that hit when we play the Sharks and buries Pavelski.

I totally agree with not having Simmonds in the box, that hit was just bullshit, and looking at as a fan, or an armchair coach, LOL, I would of expected the whole team to knock him on his ass, help him up and knock him on his ass again!!!!

I think our training camp and preseason are going to be very interesting with about 40% of our regular squad participating in the World Cup or injured (Gudas). The young guys that are really serious about trying to make the Flyers out of camp are going to have more of a shot to do it than they normally ever would.

I'm assuming that at least 5 of our 8 preseason games will be played without the likes of Giroux, Voracek, Couturier, PEB, Ghost, Streit, Gudas and Neuvy. That leaves holes all over the place for guys like Provorov and Konecny to really showcase what they have in an all out attempt to make the team. They will probably be playing on what is left of our 1st or 2nd lines/pairings too. Even someone like Stolarz should get a lot more chances to prove he belongs in front of an Nhl net.

I'm very excited about this fact. It's the only good thing about the World Cup IMO. I'll watch the games of course, because it's hockey and it should be exciting, but I'd much rather the NHL season get going instead.

Oh well, gives a great opportunity to see lots of youngsters in Flyers jerseys! Love the preseason!

I'm very excited about this fact. It's the only good thing about the World Cup IMO. I'll watch the games of course, because it's hockey and it should be exciting, but I'd much rather the NHL season get going instead.

I have to agree. I'm much more excited about our season than I am about the World Cup. Knowing that we'll have Nhl hockey in about 4 weeks and between now and then we will solidify our roster is plenty to look forward to.
