They swapped Tyler Myers for Zach Bogosian so I wouldn't call that the definition of tanking

ya I mean that's just a massive trade for both teams.. I don't think it's buying or selling for either team to be honest

Bogosian / Myers is essentially a wash to me. both high potential, maybe a little underachieving.

Kane for Stafford, Armia, and a 1st or whatever the rest of it was is a pretty strong haul for a guy that hasn't broken the 20 goal barrier in 3+ years.

My thoughts exactly, though when you break down what was traded "just for Kane" you get a low 1st, UFA vet winger, a decent prospect in Lemieux, and Armia (Who I'm not too familiar with, but I think maybe is a boom/bust prospect that is moreso busting right now. ya I didn't realize Stafford was just a rental. that skews it back towards the Sabres a bit I suppose, but it definitely helps the Jets this season.

I think that's just a big trade for both organizations.

If Mason wasn't hurt again I would say we could pick up the 4 games on the Bruins easy as they aren't as good as in past seasons. I think our goaltending is going to hurt us in our attempt for the 8th seed. Goalie situation may hurt us again, same old story.

Even with Emery standing on his head with a .95 Save % we lost. This team cannot continue to throw performances like that away. Jake and G need to really turn it up or it doesn't matter how any goalie plays.

The next 4 games are with teams behind us. 2 Buffalo and 2 Columbus. Boston has 5 on the road including, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, St. Louis and Chicago. If there was ever a time to make up ground, this would be it.
