They said Kimmo needs 8-10 days of skating with the team before he can get back to game shape.

Fill him full of Coffee and No-Doze, have him skate (2) 24's and dress him for Sunday. 14 minutes of Kimmo is better than 18 minutes of Schenn or A Mac.

I read yesterday that Kane showed up to a team meeting wearing a track suit when everyone else had a jacket and tie or suit. When Kane went to get treatment, Buff threw the track suit into the shower. Buff and Wheeler said they have standards that everyone has to abide by. Apparently Kane has a shoulder injury that may need surgery after the season. The whole article was about how Kane is immature and that he should apologize and get back on the ice ASAP rather than go on IR. Buff is apparently a very well liked player. Makes sure rookies and new guys know about guys going out for team dinners on the road, etc. Kane is signed through 2018 with a cap hit of $5.25. Too bad they don't need Dmen or we could do a strait up of A Mac for Kane. I have always thought Kane would make a great Flyer but I really doubt the Jets would take back a high salary such as Vinny, Umberger or A Mac to make the trade work.

Also just saw that the Jets are listening to offers and may be willing to move him for a "reasonable" offer.

The only way to make a deal work is to include salary. Umberger has the shortest number of years (I think) which may make it attractive to get a young guy. Hexy would have to be creative. Kane is only 23 so it would be giving up a young guy for a young guy.

Considering the Flyers gained three points on the Bruins in three weeks, that extra point makes a big difference.

This would be an incredible trade for the Jets - Tyler Myers really solidifies their defense and is a little better than Zach Bogosian, plus they get a solid scorer in Drew Stafford and two nice prospects in Joel Armia and Brendan Lemieux, plus a 1st round pick
