Kimmo has been my favorite player for years. At this point, even if cleared, he may be better served to call it a career than play on this team. That being said, he can go out on any terms he wants.

With Timonen they were a playoff team but not a Cup contender. With Timonen and Pronger?

Pronger wouldn't even be able to move at this point. He was very slow just before the injury, a few years later I don't think he'd be able to keep up. I think if he were actually healthy, he would've been retired at this point. At least, I hope so.

Kimmo out really set off a chain reaction of guys playing too many minutes or on different pairings. Even at 100 (actually 39), Kimmo was our best dman and a legitimate top pairing guy. With him at 1, Streit and Grossmann could be 2nd pairing (they are a 2nd pairing). That moves Coburn or even Schultz to 1 and the other 3rd pairing guys at 3. Without Kimmo we don't have any legitimate to pairing guys.
