Flyers aren't playing well right now wow we all know that, don't come here and talk crap now. Pretty much sums up a Pens fan unless you prove otherwise.

Not talking crap, I try to come up rational solutions, just hard to come by. Makes you feel better, I don't think my Pens are as good as their record. I would rather be in the Flyers' position where they have a chance at a good draft pick than my Pens who will probably lose in the 1st round and not get a good draft pick.

What happened to the bs tbread?

a couple seasons ago we merged it with the 'posts for a Stanley cup' thread. we hit 10,000 the year the flyers lost to the blackhawks so we decided to bring it back and the BS thread was the best way to do it!

I think you should go back to 10,000 for next season. I'll help you guys get there. As much as I dread the moment it happens, I sort of would like to see the Flyers win a Cup in my lifetime.

Have you ever wondered what the A Mac/Homer negotiations sounded like?

A Mac gets traded to the Flyers and asks his agent whether they should try to resign before FA. Agent asks how much A Mac wants. A Mac says he was making $550,000 before so try to get $10 million over 4 years. Agent says you aren't really that good but I will see what I can do.

Agent calls Homer and says A Mac is willing to resign and looking for about $10 million. Homer, believing that he is seeking $10 million per season decides to offer 1/2. To really screw A Mac he offers 6 years at his discount of only $5 million/year. Homer makes the offer.

Agent screams " Holy Shit, what a dumb Fuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Homer asks "what did you say?" Agent "I said I will have to call Andy."

I cant imagine another scenario that doesn't involve drugs, alcohol or incredibly hot hookers.

Another idea. Start Razor and have him beat the crap out of the other Goalie like last year with Holtby. That seemed about the time things turned around last year. The Kings game is tomorrow. Just pull a move from "Slap Shot" and have Razor pummel Quick in the pre-game skate. If that doesn't fire this team up, nothing will. Old time Hockey!!!!!

I think the Flyers actually played well against the Sharks & Ducks, just got a bad break (Coburn) against the Sharks, and lost in a shootout to the Ducks. I think it's really about putting things together. If they could play like they did against the Sharks and Coburn doesn't take out Mason, they could actually win a game on this West Coast road trip. I really doubt if they beat the Kings, but anything is possible.

I guarantee they beat the Blue Jackets tho.

Red Wings beat the Rangers 3-2 tonight so the Flyers are only four points back of the Rangers for third in the Metropolitan with only one more game played than them

16 total shots-a Whopping 3 in the 3rd is the kind of shit that is making me lose my last hairs.

A win was a welcome relief, but they're giving up way too many shots every game, and not taking enough.

Our best god damn d-man is Coots-wonder how he'd do back there.

I like the idea of converting him to dman. He could clear the puck from the Flyers' zone and help set up things from the point. Really all they have back there is Streit right now, he's good but not enough.

Crazy as it might sound-I's also try Rinaldo back there.Has speed, and he definitely likes to hit guys.

Think he'd be able to handle more than his average of about 7 minutes per game back there.

Just a thought.

I did this when coaching lacrosse.Always had a shortage of good d-men,so I took the guys that weren't getting a lot of minutes up front, and tried them back there.

Amazing how some guys will perform when given a chance of more playing time.I,ve always told guys,it doesn't matter what position you play, you always have to be responsible defensively.
