The fourth line is highly pathetic and they're part of the problem - lines 2-3-4 aren't scoring and the 4th line is part of that issue

Flyers have had goons and useless players on the fourth line every year - until they get rid of Zac Rinaldo and go after guys who can put the puck in the net more, the fourth line will never do anything - you think any team fears the Flyers fourth line? Not at all

If you have to defend Zac Rinaldo then there's a problem - he's useless and too many fans like this guy - I don't want him on this team - there are hundreds of players who can play fourth line, give the same amount of energy and provide a lot more skill than he does, and anyone who denies that is out of their mind

The flyers have a whole lot of useless players they could put on the 4th line and not a lot of them would provide a true use. I'm good with Rinaldo there for now. He's not one of the more glaring problems imo.

The whole point of this convo is that regardless of if Zac Rinaldo is the problem or not right now, anyone supporting him or saying he will be part of the solution is absolutely out of their mind - a guy with one point in 20 games is not someone who should be part of this team - he should be getting the same amount of abuse that R.J. Umberger gets - only reason he doesn't is $$$ - they're both useless and regardless of how much they make, why would you want either guy on the roster? Just because a player isn't the problem doesn't mean he is or should be part of the solution

I mean it's pretty easy to point out the players that don't need to be here. The way they're playing right now, it's most of them. The ones with the worst contracts get the most grief because they're the hardest to get rid of, so it's most important that they start playing better because we're pretty well stuck with them.

Rinaldo could be waived tomorrow if the flyers had a better option and it would be no big deal.

I could be wrong but I believe that amnesty time has expired, or else I would be pushing amnesty for Scuderi's contract

They have to buy out Umberger at seasons end. We save $3 million for the next 2 years but take a $1.5 million cap hit in year 3. Not a real option with Vinny as he still counts about $2.8 for 4 years. Flyers have money but need cap space. Too bad but we would have to wait for the end of the season. To buy out A Mac would count $4 million in year 1 but save $3-4 million over next 3 years but add $1.5 for 4 years without him. Seems like that would create another problem.
