This of it this way @richig07, Sox can't lose if they don't play. Only 1/2 game behind division leaders at the moment. Will probably be the closest the Sox will be to top of division all year. Some guy named Covey is in the starting rotation and some guy named May is the starting CF. Looks like I'm getting drunker than usual this year.

There is no way that Jacob May is our best option at CF. Not only is the guy 0-for the first week of the season with 5 K's, he's been COMPLETELY overmatched in every AB I've seen from him. He is hopeless up there, and an automatic out.

I know we're going to have to suck it up and deal with some bad baseball this season. I am all for letting a young kid work things out, but jeez. You can't sit here and tell me that there isn't an OF'er in this entire organization that can't give us a better chance at the plate than this poor kid.

There's certain things that are encouraging. The rotation has been solid enough, namely Shields and Avi is actually on fire

The bottom of the order is just unbearable though... We have two guys still hitting .000 and one hitting .070. We're going to really tough to watch offensively.

Frazier has to get his act together. He will have no trade value come closer to the deadline if he keeps sucking.

Yeah, I'm getting real sick of watching Frazier lean out there on that front leg, and flail the bat out there at a pitch on the outer half. Yanking it weakly to the left side.

If he falls off of a cliff this year from now through the deadline, and we can't get anything worthwhile for him. That would really hurt...

Frazier's hard contact rate is 29%. Which is considered just below average.

His soft contact rate is 35%. Which is... awful. More than awful. 25% is considered awful. Most of his contact has been medium, at 35%. 35% is actually excellent as far as medium contact goes, but when your soft contact matches it. That's... really not good.

Good to see us take 2 of 3 from Cleveland. I didn't think we'd take a game in that series. We could have had the first one as well. Pitching was very solid, and in the 3rd game the bats tee'd off on Tomlin. May and Asche do stink on ice... but Davidson is really putting good swings on the ball.

How long will Avi keep this up? It seems he's changed his approach and is going up the middle and the other way a lot. Is it possible he may finally give us a good year, when we had just given up on him for good?
