Who did u have in mind? I don't see anyone on the FA list that will fit the need of a good #2 and be cheap. I think grabbing Watkins and watching him grow with the team or if possible moving down and grabbing Evans if Watkkns is gone is the way to go. There's noone on that list I think we can get and afford that would be what we need at the #2 WR spot.
Well, without looking at the FA list, I was thinking someone like the aforementioned Golden Tate, Edelman, or even Boldin. I think someone like Erik Decker's value might me overly inflated.

I think both Boldin and Tate will want too much, especially with a SB ring on each of their fingers.

I'd like to see maclin but I doubt he leaves that offense in Philly when he didn't get a chance to play in it.

Everyone else on the list I wouldn't want. That's why I think it's a good idea to land Warkins or Evans if possible. If not, I agree an OLB is what we could use and then target the secondary.

It could be you are right. I'm certainly no expert on salary matters and even less so where the slary cap is concerned. It seems to me the decision for Lions' management is to determine where the money is better spent. I just believe that you can find a cheap #2 WR in FA easier than a top flight LB or CB.

I don't think Tate is going to be that expensive, perhaps 3yrs/$10-12M. If Suh, restructures, the money should be there for that.

Please let this super bowl put to rest any ideas of drafting a wideout @#10. Defense only.

And all of Seattle's defenders were not first round picks.

Right!

Seattle has good coaches, schemes and the right mix of guys on both sides of the ball. I wouldn't mind a great player on defense but its not like they have to get one at 10. My personal opinion is that a #2 WR should be the top priority. Thats just me though.

They have the most expensive receiving duo in the NFL. Didn't draft either one of em. A mobile, mid round, CHEAP QB. Late round productive Dbacks. A defensive head coach. A power back AND fullback. We aren't going to be working off Seattle's paradigm anytime soon.

I'd trade for Watkins, but that's because I'm a huge fan. I'm not sure a future draft pick would hurt that much. This team is doomed if they don't find a guy that opposing teams respect. I think it would be well worth the investment.

Miami traded their 2013 #11 overall and their 2nd rounder for Oakland's #3 overall.... Which was a complete steal for Miami (getting DE Dion Jordan).... Oakland did not have a 2nd round pick last year and they specifically targeted CB DJ Hayden (U. of Hou), which no one else was looking at him in the top 20 picks, so moving back to #11 they assumed it wasn't a risky trade down... That kind of trade up, for Miami, would normally cost them their 2013 and 2014 1st rd picks plus their 2013 3rd rd. pick.. When making any trade during the draft, the team trading up must denote the player they trying to trade up for. Should Watkins make it to #5 (Oak) it would cost Det. their #10 and #45 picks (getting a 5th rd back from Oak. At #6 (Atl) it would cost Det. their #10 and #76 (3rd rd.) and #107 (4th rd.). At #7 (TB) it would only cost Det. their #10 and #76 (3rd rd.)... Just to give you an Idea....You Might Get Lucky in your Trade Up, but it would be highly unlikely IMO considering the player you want (Watkins)

IMO, I expect Cleveland to trade up to Stl. #2 overall (from their #4) to draft Johnny Football, do not be stunned to see STL. draft Watkins there at #4 and take a OT at their #13. Stl. does not have a true #1 WR (2012 draftees; Brian Quick 6'4 hasn't worked out and Chris Givens 6'0 is a possession WR only)...

Seattle rushed four and dropped 7 consistently. They seemed to be all over the field and have 3 guys to make a play on the receiver/ball every play. They did all of that while containing the run. Their defense is amazing.
