As Super Bowl tickets climb into historical territory, data is pointing to the 49ers as the 'home' crowd
In a way it's a bit surprising. KC is at least geographically closer to Miami, which might account otherwise for a bit more cross country car traffic. And you'd think with not having played in a Super Bowl for 50 years, that would be incentive enough for Chiefs fans to scarf up tickets by the droves. But then again, there is a ton of $$$ in that Silicon Valley part of the Bay Area, so cost is certainly no object with the Niners crowd.
