At least if ticket sales are any indication that is:

As Super Bowl tickets climb into historical territory, data is pointing to the 49ers as the 'home' crowd

In a way it's a bit surprising. KC is at least geographically closer to Miami, which might account otherwise for a bit more cross country car traffic. And you'd think with not having played in a Super Bowl for 50 years, that would be incentive enough for Chiefs fans to scarf up tickets by the droves. But then again, there is a ton of $$$ in that Silicon Valley part of the Bay Area, so cost is certainly no object with the Niners crowd.

Way more money in California and the bay area than KC and the lower Midwest. Not even a little surprised.

That's why I threw in the money thang, no doubt there is a lot more green in the Bay Area than the KC region. But I still figured with there having been such a SB draught, many of the loyal Chiefs fans would pony up.

There is probably 8x-10x the money in the SF Bay area if I had to guess.

Just really strange to see Fullerton California being mentioned along with San Francisco.

I was born and lived in Fullerton a good chunk of my life and it's not a particularly rich area and it's right in Orange County which should be more fans of the Rams and Raiders than the 9ers.

It is crazy. I've seen what people have paid just to see a regular season Golden State Warrior game in the past couple of years before the current year crash. I wouldn't spend that kind of money on a sporting event.

Sports attendance is becoming a bougie corporate thing in a lot of places these days. Too bad. Quite a departure from when my grandfather attended a half empty stadium for SB I (they only showed the bowl where the fans were)

I don't know what weird, cherry-picked stat that is, but Niners were 8th in the league in yards per rush. Chiefs were 20th.

Your loss is coming. :heh:
Man is cherry-picking volume slanted stats when one team is one of the run heaviest and the other is one of the pass heaviest. Then acts like he made a point.

Super crazy they will buy Super Bowl tickets when they need opposing fans to fill out their dump.

Yeah...of the real team fans...the stadium will probably have maybe 50% people that root for SF and KC all season (select season ticket holders, etc....the other 50% are the non biased 2% crowd, or corporate tickets.

The pre-SB festivities is really what the rich/famous and well connected are there for...most fly back home for the actual game.

Lulz.

:L. Literally everything you say is wrong and stupid. You are one dumb dude.

I cited averages per rush. Being run heavy or pass heavy has nothing to do with average yards per play.

Seek help.

KC is not a likeable team like the 49ers are though.

YPC is a noisy stat. Ironically linked to volume; lower volume often producing higher YPC's. YPC also doesn't answer other textured questions, per se. YPC is for all intents and purposes, despite "per carry" being in its name, a volume stat.

You're not good at this. Try again.

Explain how YPC > DVOA.

I dare you.

I'm not sure why KC is an unlikeable team. They're not notorious with a love/hate relationship that many fans have for teams like the Cowboys or Patriots. It's quite possible that the Niners are the more popular team between the two, but I doubt there's any type of KC hate out there just because they're the Chiefs. Makes no sense.
