Sources tell SportsCenter 5's Mike Lynch that D'Qwell Jackson, of the Indianapolis Colts, intercepted a pass before the end of the first half of the AFC Championship game against the New England Patriots Sunday night and told his equipment manager that the ball felt under-inflated, leading to the so-called 'deflategate' controversy.

Oops. So much for believing sources.

I heard it was NOT TRUE on CNN. In any case, the Cheatriots have taken the art to a new level.

It's obvious the league is becoming as crooked as professional boxing is. It's the biggest game in the country and second in the world. You better believe there are big time bribes being made. The world didn't all of the sudden become a righteous, honest world. Greed rules this planet.

Rob flames ESPN for even talking about the Patriots scandal.

Then quotes them as his sole basis for making this all go away.

You don't have to like a person to know when they are innocent. There are even innocent men on deathrow, Thank God some of these posters aren't part of a jury. Jaywalking - guilty in first degree, fry em

Wow, it's not important that the guy that supposedly handed over the ball and said there was something wrong with it denies ever having done that?

Jackson said he doesn't handle the ball enough to know whether it was properly inflated or not.
"The deal about me saying that I noticed anything about it, that's totally false," he said.

Isn't that where this whole thing started? I'm lost, maybe I'm missing something, help me out here ...

Best part is the NFL coming out later and saying "Oh, well, um, we were gonna check the balls anyways...ya know, after the INT where we told everyone that Jackson brought it to his coaches attention."

How convenient.

Spygate was a long time ago, but the NFL has been caught lying as recently as the Ray Rice ordeal.

Quoted the Denver post. Where your hero is from. Doesn't get any more unbiased than that.

Rams fans have deep hatred for the Pats even though they lost to them fair and square. They've been trying to nose their way into Spygate forever, just so someone, anyone will say "Rams were cheated!" But no one cares about the Rams enough to ever say that. That's my observation.

He also said he kept the ball with the intention of adding it to his collection and that the process would normally be for the equipment mgr of his own team to add it to his locker monday morning and it wasn't there. Doesn't know where it is.

Possible that the equipment manager noticed the pressure difference himself and not because the player told him? :noidea: Reporters get shit like that wrong all the time.
