The biggest problem with the triangle (and the reason pretty much every other team doesn't run it) is that it takes 3-4 years to truly learn and understand it because there are really no set plays. The Knicks, outside of Porzingis, have an older team. They don't have 3-4 years to learn all of the intricacies of it.

I think it goes further - Phil Jackson tried to rebuild the team quick through Carmelo and Rose and got rewarded accordingly. Brought in Fisher who is a nice guy, but had never coached a day in his life. They should have blew up the team and went for first round draft picks for a few years.

Triangle is too slow for today's NBA - A team of young guys without defensive experience can make up for it by running - especially like the Lakers have been doing. Carmelo is old and Rose is too brittle - he might fall apart if the ran any - Just saying

8 games into regular season, team is getting blown off court in the first quarter of half games played vs average teams, was i right to RANT, or do you still think its too soon?
