There's been an update on Wims. It turns out to only have been a sprain, and with the extra few days off the Bears have this week, he might not even miss the next game. Gabriel is also expected to return, so it wouldn't surprise me for the Bears to kinda give Wims that game off and get him back to 100%.

He's right. Wims is easily replaced. A 7th round pick that averages less than one catch a game. Getting attached to marginal players might preclude us from actually finding a breakthrough player in replacement. If we keep him on because of experience and cap, that's one thing that he has going for him...but shedding a tear if he's dropped? Nah...

I also don't want to stunt Shaheen's growth as I think he will be a top TE one day. I think Nagy will use both a lot. I do think Shaheen's ceiling is much higher then Burtons.
