Le Sigh...Looks like Jose Fonte will be on the move as well.

Saints begin search for new centre-back as Van Dijk interest intensifies
Didn't know they had excluded him from their EL squad.

If they didn't want him around and weren't going to extend his contract, why the fuck didn't they sell him after Euro? His value is never going to be anywhere near as high as it was then.

Wonder if someone at the club was a little pre-occupied last summer...

Video quality is poor, but the penalty kick is awesome.

Bobby Lenarduzzi saying TFC is spending 20 shmill on three players - Yeah, well they're in the championship game Bobby, looks like money well spent to me.

Maybe but there's zero business logic to it. Doubt they're recuperating anything close to what they've spent in the last few years.

That could be the case, but I think Whitecaps fans are starting to get tired of the nickel and dime approach out here on the West Coast.

Everyone gets on Lenarduzzi for not spending for "real" money on "real" dp's ... the allure of a big name is always there but winning is what its all about and paying big doesnt always mean you get to the final

This year its ... i believe ... 3rd highest v 5th highest spending team ... and people are coming out of the woodwork to say you need to spend to win ... meh ... previous years show thats not true ... Portland was 2oth last year me thinks and they won :noidea:

i just want them to get someone good at a fair price ... is that too much to ask ???? lol

/Caps should be getting more grief for spending so much on their residency program (2 to 3 shmill per year) and releasing all these players (carducci yesterday)

i would have been down for signing Robbie Keane because even at his age hes a poacher but theres no way he wants to play on turf even if hes best buds with Robbo

Call me crazy, but a championship game for any league that wants to be considered major should not be played outdoors in frigid conditions.

Personally a team that can win the title without a shot on goal for 120 plus minutes is more of an issue than the weather.

All right Ralph, all I want for Christmas is a striker in January.

Absolutely. I don't remember watching too many good soccer games played on a frozen field. The season needs to end in November, or, go back to having the bid system for the game.

Oh and congrats to the Sounders.

Btw, it was fucking freezing here last night and in no uncertain terms should a final ever be played in those conditions.

With that said, a team not having a shot on target (and I think they had one shot total) and winning the championship is peak MLS lol.
