We were blessed to be alive with Springsteen, Dylan, Petty, Harrison, Lennon

Then there were the guys that gave them ideas like........

John Denver, Chris Christoferson, Glenn Campbell and Willie Nelson

No other generation has ever had or given such a severe, yet beautiful galaxy of music.

Jazz, Rock n Roll, Rock, Hard Rock, Disco, Soul, Rapp.

Yet we forget the crooners like Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra et al. who were part of our young lives.

The Boomers are what music is today.
If you want to list someone who inspired others there's no topping Buddy Holly - No topping! (well maybe some of the old blues guys like Leadbelly)

Music has always been an individual taste thing.

Everyone thought that Mozart was crazy when he took the dragging operatic music and added chorical melodies that required three times the normal key speed on a piano. It became the symphonic norm that is still a standard today.

My parents just couldn't switch from the 40's to Elvis and Holly in the 50's. About the furthest my father went before he died in 1972 was Englebert Humperdink's "Please Release Me".

As a side.........................My brother has a stand-alone storage disc that has over 125,000 songs and albums that I'm going to download and start playing in alphabetical chronological order and see how many I hear before they roll my ass into the oven.

I've seen Petty many times. Great shows. Saw Bowie, Springsteen and Joel. I never saw Segar but wished I had. I really looked forward to a Neil Young show once and it wasn't good - he only played obscure stuff and tried to play his guitar like he was Jimmy Page (he's not). I'd throw Neil Diamond in there for discussion purposes but would rank others above him, but his song writing deserves recognition.
Nice call with Neil Diamond.
I meant to add Paul Simon as well.

Saw Bob Dylan...Amongst many others of course...I almost walked out it was so bad. The rest of the people I was with delayed me. I regret staying.

I would never want to see Dylan in concert that would be horrible. But he can damn sure write a song

I was going to, but then I had that gag reflex followed by that half mouthful of vomit. He wrote the songs that made the whole world gag.

Fanfuckintastic!!

KC will not be the first 17-0 team.

Now, If the good lord is willing and the Creek don't rise, someone will beat them in the playoffs too!!

Mac Jones had 10 passes for 15 yards yesterday.

1 completion.

An INT.

Doug Peterson coached the Patriots out of him. And now he is shittier than when he left.

Let's hope they lose a couple more and don't play a single playoff game at home. Nothing would be better than playing the AFCCG in Buffalo in a Lake Erie snowstorm. I know, I know Kansas City doesn't have the most pleasant weather, but Playing in Buffalo would be much tougher than Arrowhead. That and they wouldn't get the home calls that they always seem to get.

Current Vibe Disappointed: I'm going to preface this post by stating this is not a political post but some could easily tie politics into it. Seems to me the world is less and less friendly. I just had a run with a panhandler that got me to thinking about this. People use to stop and talk or say hello or have a nice day. We used to talk with the cashier who is replaced by the machine. Kids or young adults seem to lack social skills and any etiquette. And people get so mad so easily, road rage, impatience etc. Just seems as humans we care less and less about being cordial and friendly.

It's very simple. It's all about "ME". Fuck you, fuck everybody but me. Don't even think about fucking me, I'm unfuckable.

My kids started it by playing Nintendo all of their free time. Their kids are on the phone every waking hour. I paid for my kids to go to college and I paid for one grandson because he ended up living with me from the time he was 12 until he was 20. He paid more attention to what I tried to reach him than my kids did. His mother has disappeared with her 12 year old son from a guy who was always looking to make a score and blamed her when he failed.

They can't deal with real life and expect everyone to approve of what they do.

Sorry Reb, it ain't gonna get any better. Just enjoy that Participation Trophy.

And they seem to think society should accept them as they are, which is unreasonable. Agreed we all have to adapt to one another to some degree but I won't abandoned my values for someone else. I do think technology has a lot to do with this.
