No apologies necessary. We all want to say some things but likely, we are all glad it is not here!I agree, my bad. Two of the callers were DNC and I went off the rails.

Have you seen the newest movie "Conclave"?And is that act wrong in the eye's of the lord?
Nope never heard of it until this post.Have you seen the newest movie "Conclave"?
It'll rattle your cage.
Like all situations, God makes the decisions. It is amazing to me how we use the extreme to judge the obvious.Hmmm: If a person is born trans breast and male genitals and let's just say a reasonably good-looking face. If that person has a sexual relationship with either a male or a female is that considered a lesbian or homosexual act? And is that act wrong in the eye's of the lord?

Latest attempt to kick Catholics in the nutz.Nope never heard of it until this post.
Yeah I am aware of how a new Pope is elected and the smoke ritual and locked chambers etc... And it makes sense it would get dirty it's as political as it is spiritual.Latest attempt to kick Catholics in the nutz.
When a Pope dies, the cardinals are all called into a conclave to elect the next pope.
Great cast. Joseph Finnes, John Lithgow, Stanley Tucci
I've gone to see it twice. Went with my brother and then with my wife's sister.
The infighting and dirty dealing is scary.
I'm Catholic, was an altar boy. Every faith has problems, this movie highlights some very interesting ones.
When you and Southie started a bit about having two sets of genitals, I had to say something.
Problem with any religion's book, be it the Bible, Koran or any other, they were written and printed by man. End of the "Holy" scripture. My question relates more to the Bible, the use of the Bible
fify... All churches are made up of people and people do shitty things.I have no issues with god or accepting Jesus Christ as my savior. I have a lot of issues with the church people and the shit they do
Look further back in history. The church has always been evil and done horrific things in the name of the Lord, or God, or The Church.fify... All churches are made up of people and people do shitty things.

In Segars heyday, I lived in San Jose. Seagram was tittie bar music. I cringe when I hear him. I recognize his talent but I still cringeFavorite American Song Writer.
When I was a teen and younger man it was Springsteen, he just hit with the way I was feeling, then I got heavy into Dylan and still like him a lot he was my number one for a long time. In my sixties now I really vibe heavily on Bob Seger, the closer I listen to his songs and the delivery of those songs he is my favorite American Writer.
Have you heard the MoJo Album by Petty? Really good. For singer/song writer I have always been a Bob Segar fan.
Dylan has always struck me as one of the best ever song writers but his singing...nah. His songs are ALWAYS better when done by someone else. Springsteen was right up the middle. I thought he was a decent singer and with the E Street band many of their songs were very good, while many were...ehh, just not for me.
Also...
Tom Petty, hardly wrote a bad song ever. Let me rephrase, he never wrote a bad song, some were just not as good.
Billy Joel, most of his music is not for me, but I cannot deny that when I hear his songs I feel immersed in the story he is telling. I would go see his show.
David Bowie, fantastic four octave voice. And like Springsteen, his good songs are just fricken fantastic. But others are...ehh.
My kid listens to a lot of what he gew up on, aka Dad's music. He also listens to what he called Indie Music some of which was not badWe were blessed to be alive with Springsteen, Dylan, Petty, Harrison, Lennon
Then there were the guys that gave them ideas like........
John Denver, Chris Christoferson, Glenn Campbell and Willie Nelson
No other generation has ever had or given such a severe, yet beautiful galaxy of music.
Jazz, Rock n Roll, Rock, Hard Rock, Disco, Soul, Rapp.
Yet we forget the crooners like Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra et al. who were part of our young lives.
The Boomers are what music is today.
I've seen Petty many times. Great shows. Saw Bowie, Springsteen and Joel. I never saw Segar but wished I had. I really looked forward to a Neil Young show once and it wasn't good - he only played obscure stuff and tried to play his guitar like he was Jimmy Page (he's not). I'd throw Neil Diamond in there for discussion purposes but would rank others above him, but his song writing deserves recognition. For singer/song writer I have always been a Bob Segar fan.
