So it's Sunday before Memorial Day.
Watched the Celtics win last night with less than a second left on the clock.
Watched the Indy 500 today and boring until the end when it turned into a high-speed destruction derby.
Watched the Monaco Grand Prix and the rain came out in Monaco
The Coca Cola 600 is rescheduled until tomorrow.
Celtics play again tomorrow night at 8:30
Under a second? Under a tenth of a second to the point eyes alone really couldn't tell, though it was clear in replay.

Props to the refs who got it right the first time. I don't give them credit often, and usually they don't deserve much.

Watched the Cs win. No way they shouldn't take the NBA finals now.

Watched my new Aussie football team win. Just recently got into watching this with some Aussie friends. Quite exciting once you underststand it.

Watched the two hole playoff at the Charles Schwab Open.
Suddenly, without Tiger, golf is becoming interesting again.

Maybe it's because I bought a set of clubs and will be joining the club two miles from the house.

7200 tard course that be a 10,000 yard walk finding mishit balls.

Portion of I-95 collapses in Philadelphia, all lanes closed
That's all brand new. We drove through there five years ago coming back from dropping off my son on Spriinger Mtn. in Geo. They were just getting it stripped . I drove through again last year when they were just finishing the side railings and still hadn't done the final painting. Somebody, somewhere, somehow screwed the pooch.

Gasoline tanker caught fire (?) under the overpass and that's what supposedly caused it. How the hell does a truck catch fire at 6:20 am??
Took out I95 both north and south. Average traffic is 160,000 vehicles in each direction daily. Took them three years to do the last fix being able to divert traffic from one side to the other. It'll take them a year to figure out what to do next.

Pretty simple. Don't contract anyone. Put the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on it and declare a National Emergency. It'll get done by Independence Day 2024.

Burning tankers can have that affect, especially when burning directly under the road.

Just thank the good Lord that you're not headed back today.

I was in hysterics when the publicly said that it could take two weeks to figure out how and where to divert traffic both north and south.

Yeah that's a mess that is a super busy part of 95.

Who in their right mind would travel to Philadelphia??
I 95 through Philly is a popular Florida to New England route.
I used it twice every weekend while working in Fishkill, NY and residing in Virginia Beach, VA.

The driver of the tanker truck that crashed underneath it spilling thousands of gallons of unleaded that caught on fire?

Or someone else?

Fuck it. I blame Pete Buttgig or whatever his name is.

You mean to tell me a few thousand gallons of burning 87 octane will get hot enough to soften bridge girders and crack concrete?

First, concrete will begin to degrade at 200 degrees F (I am not going through the steps to insert a little degree symbol).
Second, most steel will begin to melt at 2700 degrees F.
And third, However, in general, the flame temperature of gasoline combustion can reach up to approximately 1,950 degrees Celsius (3,542 degrees Fahrenheit) in ideal conditions.

So yeah...that'll do it.

95 to 495 to 270 to 81 to 84 or all the way to 88 but I found 84 to be quicker.

84 will put you back on 95 in Boston whereas 88 takes you to 90 through NY and MA.
