Hurricanes are overrated. Yes, they can cause major damage, but not very often. House in Miami for 25 years, maybe 2 hurricanes in that time that ripped up and sent trees and shit whipping around. Some home damage but not major. Fences, graden shit, etc. In Coco grove.
I lived in Virginia Beach for 10 years. First Hurricane I bit into the media and thought devastation the likes of Hugo was imminent.

Hardly got any rain.

Got more and more complacent after that.
Until Hurricane Isabel in 2003. I was very fortunate, but a number of my friends lost their homes either to the winds or the flooding.

It only takes one.

I was 5 years old when my 1st hurricane hit South Boston. Big black oaks were falling in the street as I quickly pedalled my bike home on a flat tire.
Saw lots od hurricane damage in North Carolina even without fierce winds.
Lived in the Typhoon zone in Okinawa and saw crazy strong winds. Fortunately the houses are built for it.
I can't imagine going through the eventual strong hurricane on Florida coast with american construction.

This i great news for the current state of ecology, but the moronic will see it as an opportunity to continue being wasteful. There's a balance between convenient and wasteful but wasteful just seems to completely win out.
I'm thinking about that massive island of plastic in the middle of the Pacific!

Yep.

84 to 90 to 495 to 93??

Can you pick me up 10 six packs of Caffeine Free Diet Coke at Market Basket? It's $3.88 a 6 pack here (Just dropped from $4.58) and last time I checked, $2.50 not on sale in NH. If you catch it on sale it might be 4 for $8. If so, pick me up 20?

No Sir.

That was going to be my recommendation.
Although I would stay on 95 to Fredericksburg VA and take Rt 17 to Front Royal.

Just my preference, change of pace, and it is a little shorter and quicker.

I used to drive back and forth between Va. Beach VA and Wilkes Barre PA every weekend and this was the nicest route.
A shade quicker is 95 - 495 - 270 - 70 - 81 but more cops/traffic/DC Assholes/Maryland Left Lane fuckwads...

I might take 75 to 81 and miss the whole east coast.
Enjoy a drive through the mountains and Tennessee Valley.....
I think that is a lot longer on an already long journey

So it's Sunday before Memorial Day.
Watched the Celtics win last night with less than a second left on the clock.
Watched the Indy 500 today and boring until the end when it turned into a high-speed destruction derby.
Watched the Monaco Grand Prix and the rain came out in Monaco
The Coca Cola 600 is rescheduled until tomorrow.
Celtics play again tomorrow night at 8:30
