Keep at it on your recovery. I can't imagine what that must have been like. I've had 2 minor knee surgeries and didn't respond well to either of them. Military surgeon, so do with that note what you will. I live in constant pain even after being very careful during the rehab periods. The best thing for me after my second surgery was when I said "eff it" and started squatting and deadlifting heavy again (against the advice of one of the physical therapists). The muscle around the affected area is stronger now than ever so that has helped quite a bit. When I don't train the pain keeps me awake at night. When I do it's manageable to almost non-existant. I'm glad your surgeon was better than mine!

look into D3 but understand K -2 is really importaint in your hart health if you aree taking huge amounts of d3 ..

D3 has helped my joints I take huge amounts up to 100,000 IU a day in doing that I take two 5'000 k-2

Couldn't agree more from what I have seen on here. Very excited if I do get the opportunity to meet up this summer. Like I said I would love to meet up with any of you. Really enjoy the group we have on this board and all of you seem like great people. I mean you are Bronco fans so of course you are great people.

Had knee surgery back in the day when it was surgery and I got the long scar to prove it, but it's lasted so far.

First 2 weeks after back surgery were the pits. Pain pills and sleep.

The 3rd week I decided it was time to get up and get outside for a walk. A couple of days later, I got in my van and drove around and it wasn't that bad. I kept walking more each day and was driving around, too.

So far, so good and it's been about 90 days since the surgery.

I've always liked Peyton Manning. He's a real competitor, He plays by the rules unlike Tom Brady and he's been the face of football for me for quite some time. Plus he makes great commercials. I was happy to see Denver win the SB and give Peyton another ring. Granted he didn't do much in that victory but he didn't LOSE the game with stupid mistakes and such. I think he should retire though, his time is up. He'll be a first ballot hall of fame inductee.

Ummmm..... Yeah. The guy helped our team win Super Bowl 50. This thread shouldn't even exist in my opinion. Un-freaking-believable.

I for one enjoyed Manning's stay as a Denver Bronco, and appreciate the contribution he made towards our championship. He may not have had the best of seasons, but we likely lose the SD game, and with it the #1 seed. Without home field advantage, it's very possible Broncos don't even sniff the Super Bowl. It's a freaking disgrace to be so unappreciative.

Times a million. You can tell who are really fans from the ones that have no clue for sure. Manning deserves better. Not even surprised anymore by shit you see and read from people these days. Good job Walker.

Wow, some Broncos fans are utterly ridiculous. Love for someone to really explain how Manning helped the Broncos win the super bowl. What, the 4 yard drive? Ok, I guess the two point conversion? Got me there. The Broncos offense in the Super bowl were 1 for 14 on 3rd downs, which broke the record for ineptitude in a super bowl. Broke the Craig Morton led Broncos of super bowl xii.

I also clearly pointed out that I "appreciate " the 2 1/2 years he gave the Broncos.

I know, it makes no sense to an ignorant ass that a Broncos fan would have the unmitigated gall to be frustrated with Manning. Yeah, we cannot express that on this board.

By now you should recognize I am broncoball. Kind of made it a little obvious. I do remember you saying Russell Wilson really was not all that good. Lol at you and what you actually know.

Either way, Manning was the 33rd ranked QB in the NFL. He has been long done. According to schefter, the Broncos are a little more frustrated than they are letting on regardless of their public statements.

You then claim that with out Manning they would not have sniffed the SB? You are basing that on what? You may not have noticed, but the Broncos won it virtually all based on their defense.

You can point out the chargers game all you want. I can point to 7 or 8 wins where the defense bailed out the Manning offense all year. Including the SB. I can also very much credit Brock for his brilliant performance in his second start as a pro against the Pats in the snow where he led the team back from a 14 point deficit in the 4th quarter. Oh, those same pats had not given up a 14 point lead in the 4th for over 10 years.

Now you have the audacity to attack someone that expresses frustration over a QB that very very little to actually contribute to the SB?

How about getting a clue about the game. Yeah, I will crow about me predicting long before the season started that this defense may very well be the best defense the Broncos ever had. I also pointed out that a balanced offense with a strong defense is the key for most teams that get it done.

Keep telling us how much Manning contributed in the SB. It is hilarious.

Broncoball.

So a fan cannot be frustrated with Manning eh? You surprise me randy.

What exactly does he deserve? Pure praise with out any criticism?

Why is that?

The hard part - Knight - is that you "dislike" a guy in the title of this thread who did the Broncos an incredible favor in coming here - he was an attraction for a lot of FAs brought in (like D. Ware, Mathis, D. Stewart, Talib and others) - set records as a Denver Bronco and his only sin is he is a broken down old man - as far as the game on the field goes, but still was a gamer who went out there to play.

You can "hate" for not announcing his retirement, but the Bronco's front office doesn't seem to mind - and a case can be made that announcing his retirement while his teammates are celebrating a Super Bowl Victory steps on their moment in the spotlight.

Don't be bitter - my friend - your opinion is valued here, but this thread title is bait for an argument.

This is huge and cannot be overstated. While Manning did not have a good season, he is a big part of why this team has the firepower on both sides of the ball they do and by extension, won the Super Bowl. Top tier FAs wanted to come to Denver and a lot of that is because Manning's presence.

And this is why I think the world of Mingo. Although disagreeing with the post, he is truly respectful.

Wow. That's quite the effort to defend a post that's argumentative at the least. In fact I'd call this thread a troll thread if I didn't know better.

You must have missed the final game of the regular season. The whole team was off. Like it or not, Denver got sparked once Manning went in. It was practically night and day. So yes, while your precious stat sheet doesn't show it, Manning was the difference. The way Denver was playing I'm convinced they lose had Manning not gone in. Now instead of the #1 seed Denver is traveling to KC wildcard week. Frankly I don't think we get to the Super Bowl running the gauntlet of three straight road games, even with our strong defense.

You are entitled to your opinion. But as a lifelong Broncos fan I refuse to piss on an integral player less than 3 weeks after winning the Super Bowl. And that's all I have to say about that.

Exactly which free agents are you talking about. Emmanuel Sanders comes to mind. He is a good one. Who else came here exclusively due to Peyton Manning?

Again Walker, you can bring up the last game. Well, every single game was that important this year. I am not going to list the games that the defense clearly bailed out Manning. Including the first game against the Ravens, the first game against the Chiefs. Then there is the super bowl. Brock certainly deserves A LOT of respect considering the pressure he was under. Replacing a legend, while the other legend is looking on from the sky box. All while never having a start. Oh, and then he had to beat a legend in the driving snow while down 14 in the 4th quarter.

Not that that is very relevant to this provocative subject. What is relevant is the unending sycophantic type of coverage on Peyton Manning who has showed he is CLEARLY DONE to EVERYONE. Again, yesterday according to Schefter on Mike and Mike, the Broncos organization is little more frustrated than they are letting on. To a degree I get it.

Also, just to reiterate this is not related really to when Elway retired. Unlike Manning, Elway in his last season showed distinct ability to still play. He was still very effective as a QB. He would have certainly been tempted to go after a 3 peat.

I want to make sure I make it clear and I pretty much did in a lot of posts in this thread. I appreciate what Manning did. I also have been very frustrated by his ineptitude dating back to the second half of last season. It was rather OBVIOUS he stayed on to get the records. Let us just call it the anti-Barry Sanders approach.

I am glad he got his second ring. Let us not pretend it was because of him. A fan can be appreciative and frustrated at the same time. Yeah, a fan is allowed to express that.

Before I list them how about you point out where I said "exclusively." I believe I said Manning was a "big part" of why Denver became a top FA destination. Huge difference and I have no use for people who can't take a statement at face value but have to change statements to make them fit a certain narrative. Even if it's a fellow Broncos fan. If you need to keep this up to support your logic or just want to be obtuse just because you don't like Manning so be it. I'll not waste my time with you any further.

I didn't read the rest of that post. The first line rendered the rest totally unworthy. Rephrase your question in an intellectually honest way and I'll answer it. Otherwise we can just discuss other Broncos topics elsewhere.

Me asking you which free agents came here due to Peyton Manning made the rest of the post irrelevant?

You did not say "exclusively " but I thought you said it was because of Manning. So,you are saying it was not ALL because of him, but partially because of him?

Ok, ready for the list. Which ones were here all because of him and which ones do you suspect may have been because of him?

Makes you wonder though why Julius Thomas would go to the jags. Oh, right. For the money. Huh.

So we all agree that Manning should retire. I don't think we all agree on the degree of his contribution to the championship.

I am wondering what degree you think he contributed. Oh right......you may have not read past my first two sentences because they may be below your intelligence.

If you have read on, I will be waiting for the list of players the Broncos signed due to Manning being here.

Shaking my head at Broncos fans who are offended by a Broncos fan who thinks Peyton Manning is done. Especially when everyone of them thinks he is too.

Tell me. Why do you Broncos fans think he should retire? What makes you think he should? Those are rhetorical questions, but you can answer if you want.

Anyone agree the Broncos going to 3-4 was a good thing? Been shouting about it for a while now. Back to ESPN board days. You all think that worked out? Just curious.:kissass:

Peyton should retire because:
  1. He turns 40 next month
  2. 2015 was his worst season statistically
  3. The Broncos need to secure their future with other players and Manning's salary won't allow that
  4. The Kubiak system doesn't fit Peyton's skill set
  5. He just won a Super Bowl and has a rare chance to go out on top
  6. He has more money than he'll ever be able to spend
  7. His legacy will remain intact if he simply walks away
Having said all of that, this Broncos fan will always be grateful for the relevance, professionalism and wins that Peyton Manning brought to the franchise. He may be done but his run in Denver was awesome. Go Broncos!
