Yep Mamba DJ. A tactician like Kobe would be expected to study the game until he knew all aspects of it. That is one of the many reasons he was so good ALL the time on the floor.

So, the Knicks struck out on Mitchell....got to tinkering around and what about this?

RW, a 1st, and a 2nd rounder for Randle, Fournier, and Reddish?

Gives the Knicks a name in RW to run out there.....if it doesn't work early in the season they could John Wall him and buy him out after the trade deadline and the Knicks tank (since they are a 10 or 11 seed anyway) since they have a 1st in the next draft. And they are without 3 players they really didn't want anyway and they'd have some cap space next summer.

For the Lakers it'd give them Randle who could be a solid #3 to James and AD, a shooter in Fournier that they need (career 38% on treys) and a reserve F in Reddish.

That trade you are suggesting Mamba-DJ is probably the only realistic one the Lakers have left that would get Westbrook out the door but would not violate their edict of not giving-up both Number Ones unless the returns would improve the Lakers to contender level. The Lakers had better get on the stick or the Knicks will turn them down and the Lakers will be stuck with Westbrook for the season unless Indiana decides they have enough of Turner and Hield and accept that same type of deal!

Yes it has. The last days of summer and the forth-coming days of fall are near. September is always a transition month before all major categories sports is play in October which for the Sports Fan is THE best month of year. Football, Baseball, Basketball, Hockey, Racing are all in play. What a month to just eat the best food on the planet, wash it all down with best of beverages, and watch all of the games and soak in every minute!!

Funny how he turned down 80M from the Lakers, and has managed to now sign two 1 yr deals worth less than 10M total.

Can you say terrible business decision?

Spot on ALR. Another crazy-man to add to the roster. The Lakers are going to be a team full of lunatics.

We have heard about this trade with the Jazz for quite awhile. Since there is an impasse with the Lakers' two Number Ones and the adamancy surrounding surrendering them to Danny Ainge for the same three Jazz Players, my suspicion is the Lakers are attempting to get several other teams involved to have them give Ainge one or both of the Number Ones he wants instead of the Lakers. We shall see how this plays out though because everybody and their flippin brother as an opinion of what is going to happen.

I agree Q. I suspect that the Lakers would budge on a trade if a trade just involved a First Rounder and a Second Rounder plus Westbrook. We have plenty of guards but we are thin at wingmen. Randle, the ex-Laker would be a good addition in that category. The other two players could stick or go going forward and maybe be trade bait to recoup those draft picks.
