They will still have draft capital to trade on draft night. You can't trade back to back picks.....The point is DJ, that the goal is to move Westbrook and gain some new talent in return. Hield and Brogden may indeed fit better than Hayward, Oubre, and Plumlee. This is not so much about small versus large markets as it is about a dysfunctional FO and ownership who will probably eff this up and once again pick the wrong players like they did with the DeRozan/Caruso mess that netted the Lakers with Westbrook in the first place.
AS the icon correctly demonstrated many times, you always want to accumulate advantages and giving away future draft picks because you think they are overrated or you are going after short-term gain as in the case of AD, is not a sound practice to accumulate long-term advantages.
Not having draft capital is a causative factor that contributes to the demise of a given franchise and often leads to cap hell as consequences of not maximizing draft capital and going all-in for the present.
