Meh, it's something. We needed a wing, we have a lot of guards.

He has a high cap hold in the offseason as a FA. He better use the rest of this season as his personal audition for his next contract.

It replaces deadweight on the team with a 4 that can hit the 3. I suppose if his shooting this year is his new normal it is not much, but I think he goes back to his original numbers and fills a need the team has.

Solid backup to AD when he is healthy and he could play the 4 when AD plays the 5.

Josh Richardson is supposedly available for a second from the Spurs. If all the Lakers do is get Richardson and Reddish to add to Rui, that's low cost shopping with some upside. Still that Bog potential trade out there as well.

They will only have about 25-30 mill in functional caps space to sign 10 guys......you're not getting much bang for your buck with that.

They need to use RW's expiring salary to bring back talent.

Of course, although the Spurs are under the cap, so matching isn't as defined. I do believe the Spurs still need to get over the minimum threshold, so they may want to take on extra salary to some level.
