a million ways to die in the west.....fell just flat. not grown ups 2 terrible but no laugh out loud funniness at all. which means im sure hollywood already has a sequel in the works. and how so many big names signed on after reading that script is a mystery.

It's like it went from a spoof movie in the first hour, which was fine, to trying to be a real movie in the 2nd half, except that they didn't know how to end it and they wanted to get their money's worth out of Liam Neeson. It was too long and they used up whatever funny shit they had in the first 30 minutes.

I gave it a 2.5/10

Interstellar

Being a huge fan of "Through the Wormhole" I found this movie very interesting. It's a little flawed but, you need to take it for what it is.

Dean Spanley on NetFlix. Very different, but I enjoyed it. Took a little while for the message to become clear and they could have done slightly better at making it a little stronger. But good, very good.

The purge: anarchy

Hated it. Acting sucked. Cliched to death. Just about everyone got on my nerves. Almost no redeeming qualities.

I just watched Gran Torino for the first time .... and wtf? I wanted vengeance or a reckoning, not some fucking poetic justice full of morality. Shit!

I did enjoy the movie though.

I've been meaning to see this. Read the book years ago as Nick Hornby is my favorite writer. Thanks for putting it back in my brain to watch it.

The Dudge

I was expecting it to be OK, but it was actual REALLY good!! There were two minor twists/shocks...

Glen was the father and Downey, Jr was responsible for the accident

that I totally did not see coming, and I always give movies points for surprising me like that.

Duvall did an amazing job in the role.

Watched Nightcrawler last night. Jake Gyllenhal plays a creeper fucker far too well to not be a creeper fucker.
Just saw this, enjoyed it. Gyllenhal did a great job in the role. Loved the Challenger footage, although I think he should have gone with black. 8/10

since this was more than just makeup, I'm going to disagree. The physical contortions he must have done to pull that off were a wee bit higher than having a humpback or a beard glued on.

But yeah, Hollywood does do that sometimes.

Dustin Hoffman and Daniel Day Lewis didn't need make up for the academy awarding performances in Rainman and My Left Foot.

And both were great btw as was this performance. Both excellent performances well deserving of an Oscar. It's just that they are the sort of tasty roles that get Oscars too.

The Bourne Legacy was on TV. DVRed it. Watched it yesterday. Though I like Jeremy Renner, I thought it fell short of the original trio with Matt Damon portraying Jason Bourne. Despite some good actors in the cast, it was just meh for me.

Interesting. I thought it was an excellent flic and liked it way more than I did any of the Matt Damon trio. Could be because I think Matt Damon is a prat and I can't take him seriously in any kind of tough guy role :noidea:

Agree, not a great ending to an otherwise excellent movie.

Watched the Judge last night. Thought it was pretty good, Downey Jr and Robert Duvall were solid as was the rest of the cast.
