Watched : The way way back. Sort of a teen flick but Sam Rockwell had some choice one liners.
Son wants me to pick up a copy of Man of Steel on my way home from work. Anyone seen it? Great, good, bad?
Kind of want to wait awhile and pick up a used copy on the cheap.
He's seen a bunch of the animated ones. He's really into the live action super heroes... and of course saw the MoS commercials. So, I know I'm going to have to buy it. Just a matter of whether I should distract him with more Spidey for awhile. Which, sounds like I will.It was a decent movie, not a great superman movie... then again there hasnt been a good live action superman movie since the first 2 christopher reeves movies... If your son likes superman, show him the animated films... the animated films for DC heroes have been so much better than the live action ones, because what they have done is taken the best graphic novels and turned them into films... Most are actually much darker than any of the live action films...
Have you seen the animated adaptations for the Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns? Outstanding. In fact the christian Bale Batman movies are shit compared to the Batman animated films...

I think that's the one I have in my Netflix queue right now. I better get to watching it!I did. Loved it. But my favorite batman is under the red hood. I have seen all of the animated dc and marvel movies. And can't wait for the next ones.
The Christian Bale Batmans may be the most overrated films ever. I just cannot take his voice serious. And how he insists on using that voice when in costume, even when talking to people who know he's Bruce Wayne?![]()
