Day to Day
Just finished Mechanic Resurrection for about the fifth or sixth time. Enjoy Jessica Alba trying to be a mermaid. Great rear end.
Asteroid City.. 1st movie I've seen in a theater in about 4 years. I wasn't bored.. there were many interesting scenes and good performances, but I'm not sure what it was about. If you like Wes Anderson movies you'll probably like it. But it was not as good or thematically coherent as most of his others.
I would tell people not to waste their time or money.
This was the only movie (ever) that I got up to go to the bathroom instead of holding it to the end. Because I knew I wasn't going to miss anything.
The last time I ever go see a Tom Hanks movie just because he's in it. Now I know he'll play in anything.

I am/was a huge Hanks fan. But I haven’t seen anything he has made in years. He has really gotten in bed with the streamers, and his movies of late just haven’t looked enticing in the slightest. That was your moment of realization??
Look at Hanks filmography over the last decade or so. Guy has been mostly mailing it in since Captain Phillips. Not sure if his agent of the past croaked or what. But its been a sad decline.

To Be Or Not To Be, (1983)
Introducing my kids to more of Mel Brooks films.
The DVD also had a nice featurette about Mel and Anne's relationship.
I don't really watch very many movies so thanks for the heads up.
The best movie I've seen in awhile was a Netflix movie called 'Sweet Girl'. And that was a couple of years ago.
At least now I know to stay away from Wes Anderson movies.
Rushmore, The Royal Tanenbaums, Fantastic Mr Fox, Moonrise Kingdom & Isle of Dogs are good to very good Wes Anderson flicks imo.

Hoop Dreams 9.5/10
I finally got around to seeing this one. Perhaps the best sports movie ever.
The tattoo bit shocked the shit out of me, even with all the setup leading into it. Movie made me laugh quite a bit.Joy Ride(2023) 8/10.
If you liked movies like Bridesmaids or Girls Trip then this will be right up your alley. Some pretty good laugh out loud moments.
