The Man in the White Suit (1951)
This was an interesting and entertaining movie. Alec Guinness plays a scientist who invents a new synthetic fabric material, that is essentially both unbreakable and dirt-resistant. When he tries to sell his invention to garment manufacturers, he discovers the practical issues involved with such a revolutionary idea. The heavy British accents made the dialog difficult to follow at times, but it was pretty easy to figure out the gist of what they were talking about.
