I saw Gravity in 3D. Would have hated the movie if I saw it at home I believe. Not much there aside from special effects.

Gravity. Aside from the special effects it was meh. We've been getting around to seeing last years nominated pics we hadn't seen. Nebraska was good, but sorta slow. Touching and funny in an understated way. Dallas Buyers Club was good. MM was very good as was Jared Leto. 12 Years A Slave was overrated imo. It wasn't bad but I've seen Roots and other pics about the subject matter. There was nothing really new or done much differently than I've seen it done before. There were a few very good performances. American Hustle was great. My favorite of the bunch so far, by far.
GRAVITY SPOILER BELOW-

and you knew she was going to make it back ok. Blockbusters don't have sad endings. So there was no suspense after Clooney bit the dust.

After reading about it in the Under Rated Movies thread, I watched "Worlds Fastest Indian".
Had never seen it, had never even heard of it.
Thought it was a great movie. The kind of movie I'll watch several times.
8.5/10

Watched "Draft Day" over the weekend. About a B-. Kevin Costner pulls off a couple of unbelievable trades, and that's about it.

Just finished watching the newer GI Joe... Retaliation I think it was subtitled? It had pretty decent, but cheesey, special effects. I only watched it because it was recently added to Netflix. Glad I didn't waste money to see it in the theaters.

5/10 experience... 3/5 for Netflix

No chance I'm paying money to see that, looks like an absolute snoozefest. The first time I saw an ad for it was actually on the NFL Network and I thought it was just a fake ad for a fake movie being used to advertise their draft and combine coverage. I remember thinking "wow, those are actually bigger names than I'd expect for this type of commercial, Costner must not be drawing them in like he used to"

Watched American Beauty again. One of my favorite Kevin Spacey movies. What a great script and job of directing by Sam Mendes and even better performance from the cast overall.

best line in the whole movie is after the credits...."who was that ****er?"

taratinos hallmark is always the dialouge even when he is going over the top with the plot elements. but i just didnt see his usually standards here at all. I cared little about saving bromhilda at all.

I liked Django quite a lot. But, I can definitely see how some may not enjoy it.

I'm a big Leo fan as well and he delivered.
