Gravity...highly overrated

Out of the Furnace....a kick ass movie that blew 'Gravity' out of the water

In the last week I've seen:

Wolf of Wall Street
Gravity
Star Trek Into the Darkness
Catching Fire and Bad Teacher.

I liked Star Trek and Wolf of Wall Street the best, Bad Teacher the least. Gravity and Catching Fire were both decent movies.

Went to see Noah and it was kinda like Lord of the Rings meets The Bible. Still, it was OK besides every 3 seconds me asking my wife "Was that in the Bible".

:wtf2: who hates Casino? lol

I know people consider it a classic, but it is going to become one of my least favorite movies ever. It was nearly all narration, and I just couldn't stand the woman in it. What a fucking bitch. Plus, I just hate De Niro and his stupid face.

Last couple of days

Captain Phillips - Liked it a lot more than I thought I would
12 Years A Slave - Not as compelling as I'd hoped. Some good performances and it was a true story so there's that. But the plot was sort of flat. Worth a rental.... especially if you haven't seen Roots or something similar about that era and have no clue about how bad slavery really was.
White House Down - It was damned silly but it hooked me. Movies like that need a Bruce Willis lead though.

Just saw "This is the End" from one of the movies I recorded from Starz last weekend and that was pretty hilarious. Definitely recommend.

Yeah, that had some hilarious bits. :agree:

The Winter Soldie: The second best Marvel movie ever made, second to The Avengers. So well done, just a great movie overall.

The Fighter- Fucking awesome! I've never seen am actor with so much range and transformation like Christian Bale. I know he got a lot of backlash for the Batman trilogy, but the guy is truly a special actor and one of my favorites

5/5

Ending scene in that town almost got me teared up. What a flick. Compared it to the actual story and there's a few differences, for Hollywood of course, but it was pretty close. Even said the injuries sustained were exactly as they were on the bodies in real life. They used the autopsy reports. Crazy.
