This is the same guy who didn't like Gangster Land (4/5 stars). Not sure you can be totally trusted when it comes to the whole organized crime thing:pizza:

Bladerunner 2049. Didn't care much for it myself. Tough to follow and took forever to generate any interest, at least in me. The last bits with Harrison Ford saved a total collapse IMHO.

I liked it because of the first. It was definitely hard to follow. I can't imagine someone watching it who didn't see the first.

Watched 3 Billboards movie, very good movie, kind of surprised there wasn't much closer like you will find in a movie. Good characters with some great acting by McDormand and Rockwell in particular, some good jokes fitted in a lot of dysfunctional drama. Also worth noting the movie has some strong language, so keep that in mind if you want to watch it.

One of my favorites McDormand movies is Laurel Canyon where McDormand plays a loose record producer.

She lets her uptight son and his girlfriend (Christan Bale and Kate Beckinsale) stay at her house.

Very hot movie although it could have been a 1000x better because there is actually no nudity or sex!!!

Hacksaw Ridge............It was very boring from the get go.....listening to a dumb hick talk was numbing........It took an hour(can`t believe I actually watched that far) before it actually had any war action.........And it ended up beinga little too phathomable for one guy to actually save all the injured soldiers the way he did, especially with the Chinese breathing down his neck................(he actually kicked a grenade out of thin air like a soccer ball):bullshit:......

and this was suppose to be a true story.....ok whatevs. 2 of 5 stars for me.

100 Rifles with Jim Brown,Burt Reynolds and Raquel Welch......It was a good movie.........worth watching once. And another first for watching a Raquel Welch movie.......Damn that woman was fine..............Loved the shower underneath the watertower scene...........wet shirt and nipples sticking thru..........now that's what I`m talking about.

Tonight, on Turner Classic Movies, 1949, “She Wore A Yellow Ribbon” John Wayne with John Ford directing. I don’t know how I missed this one through the years. Excellent cinematography filmed in Monument Valley. I have always been a John Wayne western fan.

Today I went to the 12:00pm showing of “Hostiles” in Hagerstown,Maryland. It has been billed as “the best western since Unforgiven” with Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman and Gene Hackman. That won a lot of awards including best picture. This movie, today, had outstanding cinematography, period dress and very accurate period firearms. Christian Bale did a great job as a U.S. Cavalry captain and Wes Studi in one of his many roles as an Indian chief, was good also. Very bloody, as expected with a modern western, but not as good a story line as Unforgiven, premise here being that an army captain, along with some help, is escorting a dying Indian chief to his burial ground in Montana. Don’t get me wrong, I liked it, but it moved slowly. Maybe that is how the director wanted it to be. I still like to watch Unforgiven again when I get the chance.
This is pretty much my take on it. Very somber movie (especially the music!).

Bale is always good it seems.

Drive: 4/5 stars. This was my second time watching this one. Amazing film with a pretty generic plot that's somewhat more noticeable on a re-watch. What's also more noticeable are the performances. Damn, Gosling can act.
