I gave "8 Mile" 4/5 stars, not "Love & Mercy."4/5 is not bad. I thought it was a very interesting movie. Paul Dano gave a pretty good performance.

This is the same guy who didn't like Gangster Land (4/5 stars). Not sure you can be totally trusted when it comes to the whole organized crime thingLegend
Starring Tom Hardy and Tom Hardy as identical twin gangsters.
Boring as fudge.
5/10

Bladerunner 2049. Didn't care much for it myself. Tough to follow and took forever to generate any interest, at least in me. The last bits with Harrison Ford saved a total collapse IMHO.
One of my favorites McDormand movies is Laurel Canyon where McDormand plays a loose record producer.
She lets her uptight son and his girlfriend (Christan Bale and Kate Beckinsale) stay at her house.
Very hot movie although it could have been a 1000x better because there is actually no nudity or sex!!!
This is pretty much my take on it. Very somber movie (especially the music!).Today I went to the 12:00pm showing of “Hostiles” in Hagerstown,Maryland. It has been billed as “the best western since Unforgiven” with Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman and Gene Hackman. That won a lot of awards including best picture. This movie, today, had outstanding cinematography, period dress and very accurate period firearms. Christian Bale did a great job as a U.S. Cavalry captain and Wes Studi in one of his many roles as an Indian chief, was good also. Very bloody, as expected with a modern western, but not as good a story line as Unforgiven, premise here being that an army captain, along with some help, is escorting a dying Indian chief to his burial ground in Montana. Don’t get me wrong, I liked it, but it moved slowly. Maybe that is how the director wanted it to be. I still like to watch Unforgiven again when I get the chance.
It is about a rapper that Trump refused to acknowledge because of racism en sech.
Damn, Gosling can act.
