I gave "8 Mile" 4/5 stars, not "Love & Mercy."4/5 is not bad. I thought it was a very interesting movie. Paul Dano gave a pretty good performance.

Bladerunner 2049. Didn't care much for it myself. Tough to follow and took forever to generate any interest, at least in me. The last bits with Harrison Ford saved a total collapse IMHO.
One of my favorites McDormand movies is Laurel Canyon where McDormand plays a loose record producer.
She lets her uptight son and his girlfriend (Christan Bale and Kate Beckinsale) stay at her house.
Very hot movie although it could have been a 1000x better because there is actually no nudity or sex!!!
This is pretty much my take on it. Very somber movie (especially the music!).Today I went to the 12:00pm showing of “Hostiles” in Hagerstown,Maryland. It has been billed as “the best western since Unforgiven” with Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman and Gene Hackman. That won a lot of awards including best picture. This movie, today, had outstanding cinematography, period dress and very accurate period firearms. Christian Bale did a great job as a U.S. Cavalry captain and Wes Studi in one of his many roles as an Indian chief, was good also. Very bloody, as expected with a modern western, but not as good a story line as Unforgiven, premise here being that an army captain, along with some help, is escorting a dying Indian chief to his burial ground in Montana. Don’t get me wrong, I liked it, but it moved slowly. Maybe that is how the director wanted it to be. I still like to watch Unforgiven again when I get the chance.
It is about a rapper that Trump refused to acknowledge because of racism en sech.
Damn, Gosling can act.
