Trainwreck- I thought it would be funnier but it ended up being more of a dramedy. 6/10.

So this is kind of a random nitpicky comment but at the end I was definitely wondering what the hell kind of knee surgery Stoudamire was having that was incredibly serious and potentially Knicks' season threatening but also the kind of thing that you totally recover from in what seemed like a few weeks or maybe a month tops.

I know, I know, it's nitpicky. But that's the kind of sports detail that's easy to get right, kind of like area scout Clint Eastwood having signed a bunch of Braves who hailed from all over the country in the disaster that was "Trouble With The Curve" (and yes, I know that shit movie had bigger sports problems/mistakes than the one I mentioned )

Saw Batman Return of the Caped Crusaders.

Pretty much as advertised. Having the original voice actors is great except catwoman just sounds way out of place. Maybe a dozen good gags and 100 awful groans. This is pretty much only watchable with people who like the silliness of the Adam West Batman enough to watch 3 episodes in a row. For the other 99.5% of people, you're better off watching something else.

Source Code: 4/5. With just about any actor but Jake Gyllenhaal, the movie would have just been "pretty good" but with him, it was "pretty damn good." Easily a top 5 actor of mine. The plot was a little thin, especially for a ski-fi, but like I said, Gyllenhaal makes it worth it.

The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance: 4.5/5 stars. When you have the two leads as good as Jimmy Stewart and John Wayne, you can do something that other great leads said quite often: "Fuggetabouted." Great movie with a very interesting ending. Probably my second favorite Western of all time, right after The Hateful Eight.

Vertigo: 4.5/5 stars. I understand that a lot of people didn't like James Stewart for the role, but I liked him just fine. Kim Novak was great. I am torn on where they should have put the big reveal.

I am really not a fan of Borat, but that Brothers Grimsby movie on stars this week has some unbelievably funny moments. If you just refuse to watch anything sasha makes, you might want to take a look at this.
