I did like seeing the two of them play together, on the same plays, when they were on the same team.

I wish if Payton were to get traded from Seattle, it would have been to the Jazz, so we could have seen Payton, Stockton, and Malone together. That defense and offense hopefully would have been as good as I think it could be.

I did like watching Payton and Sam Cassell together, for those few months, in Milwaukee.

Let's say that Jazz team had made the NBA Finals. That Finals would have had 3 hall of fame point guards in it, with Payton, Kidd, Stockton. Although at that point, I don't think Kidd was a definite hall of famer. Maybe he was, but I am not sure if his career had been long enough.

I like how complimentary Payton is of Jazz players.

I do wish it would be reciprocal. I'd like to see Stockton and Malone say something good about Payton.

Some people still say that Karl Malone inappropriately won the MVP award.

It's why I now hate the days following the MVP announcement, because people always bring up how Karl Malone and Steve Nash shouldn't have won theirs.

I’m not sure. I know that was part of this personality when he was out in the public. I’m not saying he faked it or anything, but what he did was more out there. When you get to retirement, he may still work hard on exercising and stuff like that, but I imagine he’s doing more old man things. Of course, relatively speaking his activity would be higher than other old men.
