Were they healthy when we lost to them either time? I’ll check when I have a chance (besides spending the time here to post).

Yes they were.

Westbrook with a 13 assist triple double.

Westbrook and Beal combined for 18 assists, 2 steals, 16/19 FTs, and 88 points.

Were they slow yesterday, careless, or something else?

Really bad at shooting. Not not necessarily the whole team but we have certain positions who can’t shoot the ball. Especially against them. I will take a look at the season series and it’s really bad.

Ernie Johnson just said that the Jazz are going to the Finals!

(I can't put this in the "MHSL82, how could we forget the magic words?" thread, since we know that getting to the NBA Finals would not make the Jazz the Best Team In Sports).

So it goes here.

Zubac played six seconds to keep the games played streak alive.

Gobert could have done the same. Or played until the first timeout, etc.

You know what I always say? I’d rather beat a team missing their best player than to lose to them at full strength, as some macho fans talk. But I sure hate losing to a team missing their best player. (No, I don’t want players injured. I’m just referring to many who say they want to play their opponent at their best. I want to beat them, whoever they are full strength or half strength, as long as we don’t purposefully injure them.)

That raises the question, would you rather lose to an opponent at full strength, or lose to an opponent missing their best player?

1. Beat a team at full strength.
2. Beat a team missing player(s).
3. Lose to a team at full strength.
4. Lose to a team missing player(s).

There’s a variable involved when we are missing our players, but that irritates me, too because then I have the “what-ifs.” Either way, winning is priority. That sounds obvious, but I get so many people stating that they want to play their opponent at full strength. I don’t care about that.

They should have used their cap space to make a bid on Carlos Boozer.

Dennis Lindsey did not have a perfect summer.

This is almost making me retract my OP, in my support for Carlos Boozer, because of what he said below:

You can watch a video of the quote, by clicking on the right arrow in the Instagram post.

Boozer would also say though that his potential was sky high.

Negative thoughts purge: stupid Orlando, dumb Indiana, and choke versus Grizzlies. Argh! On one hand, it’s good that I can count these because that means that there aren’t very many bad losses. The Grizzlies are a good team and so that’s OK, but we were winning by four or five points within the last minute. This is the same category as the Miami Heat loss and they’re a good team. So definitely the third worst loss not the first or second. I want to go back to winning all home games, but it doesn’t seem to matter anymore besides a regular advantage.

And now, New Orleans at the buzzer. Win the games you “should.” Close out games. It’s like the Jazz took the lesson that having the best record (last year) does not equal a championship to mean that they should not win regular season games.

It’s getting a little old but it seems that whenever a team needs a basket at the end of the game to get a lead or a tie, they get it. Despite our defensive drop, on the radio they said we were still eighth (or better?) in the league. But it seems that teams are able to draw up plays against us when they need it.

I also think that we are better in scoring somewhere between the two minute and a half minute mark left of the game then we were in past years. But it doesn’t matter when the other team can just go in and win.

Popovich knows his mentee Snyder.
