Charles Godfrey - DB - Panthers
Panthers FS Charles Godfrey (Achilles') is out for the season.
Godfrey tore his right Achilles' tendon during Sunday's loss to the Bills. The injury costs the Panthers their most productive member of the secondary and its leader. They'll now have to roll with some combination of D.J. Moore or Colin Jones next to Mike Mitchell. Quintin Mikell is nursing an ankle injury. Due $5 million in 2014 base salary, Godfrey will be a renegotiation candidate.

yea he was def here. I want to say two years ago? maybe on the PS as well for a cpl years before that..
thats the first thing that I thought... damn, their safeties are that bad they have to start Colin Jones..

The Falcons already lost Kroy Biermann for the season and now they placed Sean Witherspoon on IR but gave him the designation to return. Also, Steven Jackson may miss 2-4 weeks, according to NFL.com, due to the thigh injury he suffered early in last week's game.

Robinson suffered a non-contact injury in Sunday's win over the Bucs and had to be carted off the field. The former first-round pick was the Saints' No. 3 corner behind starters Keenan Lewis and Jabari Greer. He'll be entering the final year of his contract next season. Corey White and Chris Carr round out the depth chart. The Saints have lost four key defenders for the season.

Tough luck for him; he's a great player IMO. But if it had to happen, it came at the best possible time for the 49ers.

Nate Burleson broke his arm in two places during an early Tuesday morning car accident.
Burleson was driving home after watching Monday Night Football with teammates when he was in a single-car wreck. Other than the arm, he's doing fine and police confirmed alcohol was not involved. We don't have a timetable yet, but fractured bones typically take 4-6 weeks to heal. Burleson is undergoing surgery Tuesday, suggesting the recovery period could be even longer. It's a huge blow to the Lions as their veteran ranked 21st in the NFL in receiving yards (239) and was tied for 11th in catches (19). Ryan Broyles was on a strict snap count in Week 3 thanks to his knee issues, but he'll be given every opportunity to run with the slot job now. If Broyles' knees hold up, he'll be capable of WR3 production in PPR. Pat Edwards will also see a boost in opportunities if he can get over his ankle injury. So we've had a stripper related injury (Jacoby Jones) and a pizza related injury (Nate Burleson) in one week. And Aldon is found fast asleep in a crashed car with his foot on the throttle, and he doesn't have a scratch on him. And that's the second major car crash from which he's walked away in his NFL career.

If true, it means Wilfork's season is over, and that the Patriots have a gaping hole on the front line of their defense. Wilfork went down in the first quarter of Sunday night's win, and did not return. Wilfork has missed just six games in 10 NFL seasons, and zero since 2009. Joe Vellano and Chris Jones are next up on the depth chart, but as NESN's Doug Kyed points out, the Pats will likely be in the market for help.

Per beat writer Conor Orr, Snee is in "immense pain," and "can't move." It sounds like Snee could be headed to injured reserve as soon as this week. James Brewer is filling in at right guard.

Malcom Floyd is done for the year after suffering that awful looking neck injury in week 2. Dwight Freeney is also out for the year (torn quad tendon) for them.
