Seems no worst than Cincinnati who only has 1 win over anyone in the top 50 and lately barely escaping #85 USF and #115 ECU

coming from a team who plays in the acc......... Cincy is respectable, and is respected by sports media.

but tell us more about the gauntlet that is the acc..........

Considering Arkansas lost by 27 to a 4-6 North Texas team. Lost to a 4-6 Colorado State team and just got blown out by Western Kentucky. I’ll consider A&M surviving them to be worse in comparison.

A&M also has no wins of note. (1 is better than 0) And don’t even try to claim South Carolina as one.
1 close call vs #80+ team > 2
2 top 50 wins > 1
A&M: 27th Off 36th Def
Cincinnati: 44th Off 23rd Def

Numbers says A&M is better :noidea:

So kick out all P5 schools that are not bringing in the money then? There are G5 schools bringing in a lot more money than several P5.
No doubt there are some free loaders mooching off their big money P5 conference brethren. You'll get the "But they are charter members, blah, blah blah..." from the traditionalists if you try to kick them out.

Not sure which "money" you are referring to. TV revenue? Research dollars? Their own gate money/t-shirt sales/donor money?

Which G5 school(s) would bring in more "net" money for one of the P5 conferences? The only one I can think of is BYU...and that is only because of how large the LDS Church is around the world...much less the US.

If you are going the research dollar amount, Rice might be attractive.

Looking through the rest of the G5s, I can't find any...which is why I think the Big 12 has stayed at 10. When they started looking at who was available, none of them moved the needle financially. Probably a lot of G5 schools that would be just as attractive most of the Big 12 schools other than Texas, OU and Kansas, but I can't see them getting rid of K-State, Iowa State, Texas Tech, etc for Memphis, Cincy, Houston, etc.

:pound: What so called “top 50” wins does A&M have? I don’t care what any stupid computer says. 4-7 South Carolina and 4-6 Miss State are not “good wins”

The problem with the “criteria” is it seems to change year to year or even week to week depending on what narrative the committee feels like going with at that time.

But 7-3 Indiana is...right?

LOL, the combined win total of all of Indiana's 7 victories now sits at 18-53.

Indiana is getting robbed. They are a top ten quality team. All of their losses are to elite teams.

And yet outside of losing to decent teams (also wouldnt consider MSU elite), they have played no one worthwhile.

If you have seen anything that I have posted about Michigan State the last 4 seasons, you would know it was tongue in cheek.

Speaking of keeping it real...have you secured Captain Underboobs? I recall that as being a critical component of our wager.

poor substitute in my opinion...but acceptable. Despite what I have said about them though, I will be rooting for Indiana this weekend...since obviously State could not be counted on last weekend...shameful.

Do we really have to go back to this? Literally nobody is talking up Indiana.....difference is idiots are talking up shitty ass Texas A&M, Hell ESPN claimed they are a "very stiff test" for UGA no less than 3 times during the CFP thing last night.

Michigan State is the #31 team in the country according to ESPNs garbage FPI computer rankings :pound: which the SEC homers love for its clear slant toward the SEC.

Jesus Christ. I wouldn’t put Michigan State at #81. This team is a train wreck with a dumpster fire.

Anyone seriously trying to call wins over 4-7 and 4-6 teams "good wins" is a moron.

The committee certainly has issues but anyone seriously wanting to go back to computers deciding championships risks ending up with a mess like that running things
