As a lifelong 49er fan, I wish I could say Joe Montana.
But it's Tom Brady without a doubt in my mind.
God I feel so dirty after saying that.

You still can....it's the correct choice.

Just look at it this way, they're both Bay Area legends... one made his fame there, and one grew up there.
LOL, no pills, just some Martinis, then Rum & Cokes. Meant to write assassin but I think I was quite buzzed by then.Dude what pills u poppin?
I give Brady a lot of credit, what he has done has been nothing short of amazing. But just a couple things if I may.
The AFC lEast has been absolutely terrible since the Brady-Belichick marriage. The Jets have won 6 playoff games in those 16 years, the Dolphins have won ZERO playoff games in those 16 years and the Bills have not played in a playoff game this millennium.
So, as we can see their road to the playoffs has been a somewhat easy one over the years. Also, playing in such a terrible division has many times given them home field advantage in at least one of their two playoff games and many times all the way through. They have played two road playoff games in their seven Super Bowl seasons.
So, win an easy division, play someone in round one like the Bengals, Texans, Jaguars or a Tim Tebow led Broncos team then it's down to one game which 5 times out of 7 they have played at home.
Now again, both of those road playoff games they beat the Steelers but the road to get to that point has never been a difficult one for Brady and the Pats.
Again I respect what he's done but he is not the best QB of all time, best accomplishments sure but not the best QB.
Just my opinion...
Although I agree with you up to a point.i gotta disagree to most of it..........1st of all,you play whos on your schedule.Could the Pats make those teams`s record worse than what they could have been if they were in another division sure, could thopse teams be as bad as they seem in another division.....Sure.but who`s to say.
2ndly,when youre in the playoffs, you`re playing vs other caliber plasyoff teams, not the teams you mentioned year after year.So yes,the Pats have earned every bit of what they have.........Their division has not made them 'Perenial"SB contenders years after year........Sorry but they have.
And as far as brady, yeah,he`s the best ever........He`s done it withour his top receiver and just mediocre rbs.
Not one year have I said to myself,"Wow that NE defense won the SB,a playoff game nor won a division for them.............But I say that about Brady, year after year..........
The division record might hold some weight, but Brady has a .767 winning percentage against teams outside the division. The equivalent of 12.25 wins per season. He also has a .644 winning percentage against playoff teams. No other team has a record over .500 in that span.
The division isn't nearly as terrible as people like to pretend. In fact, since division realignment in 2002, the 2nd-4th place teams (usually the Bills, Jets, and Dolphins) have won 47.3% of the 450 games played outside the division. That's more than any other division in football.
AFC East: 47.3%
NFC East: 46.9%
AFC North: 46.2%
NFC South: 44.4%
AFC West: 43.6%
AFC South: 43.1%
NFC North: 42.2%
NFC West: 37.1%
It really doesn't matter if you agree with me or not, although I respect your opinion that's all you just posted was opinion, aside from my opinion of him not being the GOAT everything else I posted were facts.
And the same goes for you..............
plus I`m not going to read thru this whole thread to see "what" facts you bring up to prove he`s not the greatest, all you have to dio is look to see what he`s done watching him play............There is no other qb that has gone as long as he has and brought their team into the playoffs year after year, played in as many SBs as he has,won SB MVPs as he has done..........And I could give two shits about what division he is playing either.........
Aaron Rodgers is playing in a piss poor division and yet he has not accomplished what TB has done.............What about Manning`s run? H elooked old in his last season in Denver.........If you watched it,it was the defense that won it for them, not Peyton..And he has been known for choking during the playoffs.
So what facts do you need to prove otherwise?
Cause I don`t need any to understand TB is the greatest of all-time.
The same goes for me? I stated facts you gave opinions, seems like we have a disconnect here.
You don't have to look through the entire thread, you quoted my post. You have heard the old saying "The QB gets to much credit when the team wins and too much blame when the team loses" that saying was created with Tom Brady in mind. You know the real reason the Patriots have done so well? (I'm about to enter some opinion here) The reason they have done so well is Bill Belichick, greatest coach in NFL history IMO.
And in closing I never said Brady sucked, just that he is not the best QB of all time, and he's not.
The only reason Rodgers even has 1 was because his defense gave up just 14 points and had a pick 6 in the NFC Championship. They gave up just 20 points in regulation last year and couldn't win. Gave up 22 in regulation in 2014 and couldn't win. Gave up 23 points in 2013 and couldn't win. 5 of the 7 playoff losses, they've scored 22 or fewer points.
You weren't alone. Beside most knowlegeable football fans the entire NE team had the same feeling. Who could blame them? You guys who are old enough, remember when Joe was down a few points and got the ball with 2:00 left and you just knew he was going to win? Remember those days?
Well, when Stater won the coin toss in OT last Sunday night, I got that very same feeling again.
Do you know the difference betwee facts and opinions? It appears anytime @wood20ks says something it's an opinion. All those things he quoted about the best numbers are FACTS. Sorry to break that to you.The same goes for me? I stated facts you gave opinions, seems like we have a disconnect here.
