One of the best parts of the draft was the Cowboys tricking the Eagles into trading up for Smith who would have been there anyway at #12. Giants weren't going to take him.

Toney and Smith are NOTHING alike and that Chicago trade had obviously already been worked out beforehand on a contingency that Fields was available (or else why else would Chicago offer WAY more than they needed to get up to that spot).

And the fact that it allowed me to hit on my prop bet on the under of 11.5 for Smith was just icing on the cake.

devonta smith has had a very nice rookie season however. a million times more important than leaving hurts in that 4th quarter and possibly winning, just so one mediocre team could replace another and everyone says "WOW! THE EAGLES ORGANIZATION SURE IS SWELL!"

Giants are doing this right and not winning meaningless games and protecting their QB (for better or worse, he's not the answer going forward either). Of course, they do suck, and maybe games like this get changes made in the front office.

lol. I had fun reading back on this thread as it didn't age well for a lot of people here. Some highlights/lowlights

Eagles are in cap hell. .. wrong. They have 14+ mil in cap space in 2022. Dallas is well over and the giants are right at the number.

Giants are on the way up... wrong again. They are a train wreck and getting worse.

Eagles won't make the playoffs within the next 2 years... wrong.

Noone will trade anything for Wentz./He'll be an eagle in 2021.... Wrong again. They got a 1st round pick for him and his number is off the books in 2022.
