You're kind of missing my point.
Put Geno on the Eagles with the great roster they have (and coaching) and you still have a Super Bowl win, IMO.
Yes, the QB is the most important position in football, but when you've built things properly (which Roseman has certainly done) it gives you a bit more of an opportunity to plug/play at QB.
If you're trying to argue a successful QB in the NFL needs to win something in HS/College to be successful and win a Championship in the NFL... lol. That's where my "Eagles' flu" comment came from. Don't embarrass yourselves as a fanbase. You guys already won.
I love that people are still gonna deny Hurts credit. Geno Smith is on the Eagles roster. His name is Kenny Pickett and he’s the back up QB.You're kind of missing my point.

You think Hurts wins a SB in Seattle? You're comparing Geno to Hurts and think the Eagles fans are embarrassing themselves?
Eerily similar to Russ’ situation. A great defense and run game around him and he has the ability to make plays with his arm and his legs. Hurts could have done what Wilson did there. And like Wilson, when the team around him starts to fade and the defense isn’t as good and the run game takes a step back so would the success of the QB.You think Hurts wins a SB in Seattle?

Fair. He has that turnover diseaseNo, but Geno's not winning one in Philly.

I’ve seen other QBs not named Hurts try and make it work and you can’t put “any one with a functioning brain” in the game and get the same result. I don’t think you understand the role Hurts plays in the run game. Geno Smith is a lumbering rusher that can’t threaten a defense on zone/keep. Geno Smith couldn’t play the complimentary football the Eagles play. The Eagles defense is great but because of their ball control offense they have defended fewer plays than any team in the NFL this season. You can’t do that with Geno. He’s a turnover machine living off of a single season. It’s a terrible take to think he would be a fit in Philly. This is pretty basic understanding of football and the role the QB plays in shotgun run. If you’re going to mock fans of other teams you should do a better job understanding the great game of football. You Iggles fans go to such extreme (@ericd7633 ). I didn't deny Hurts of anything (although I did chuckle that Wilson in Seattle basically did the EXACT same thing less one turnover and didn't get MVP). I simply said the team the Eagles built and their great lines is the MAIN REASON they won the Super Bowl. It was great team built by Roseman. Hurts is a decent QB but nobody would put him in the category of elite. Nobody would put Geno in that category either. My argument is could a healthy Geno lead the Eagles to a Super Bowl behind that running crew, behemoth OL, and defense? Yes. Could basically anyone with a functioning brain that has played QB do it? YES. I mean the tush push aside (I'll give Hurts that he has strong legs) he's not throwing miracles over there.
You guys have a fanbase that is literally too stupid to realize when you're being paid a compliment. Hence my Eagles' flu comment. At least KC fans are somewhat reasonable.

Wow, congrats on saying the eagles have a talented roster, such a great football mind. They've had that for 3 years now. Thanks for the great compliment.
Its funny you're calling Eagles fans dumb when you're comparing a journeyman QB to someone who has made 2 SB's, won a SB, a SB MVP and finished runner up in the MVP in 2022(and might have won it if not for getting injured)

It's never not going to be entertaining to me to see people get this wound up over sports. Not just you personally, but all sides of that arguement.
I dont think its that easy. Hurts really opens things up for that team. You're kind of missing my point.

What?
When did I ever say they didn't have a great football roster for the last few years? WTF are you talking about? If you have a great football roster, you can make a lot of QBs work in that system.
Are you and @fightinfunbags trying to compare the situation Hurts as in (a good defense, stable coaching organization, elite offensive line, one of the best RBs in the league when healthy, great WRs, good TE) to what Geno was in?
Whatever. Here, this is what you two (@fightinfunbags ) want:

Eagles are the best team ever, and this was the most impressive Super Bowl ever, and Jalen Hurts is better than Tom Brady.
On a side note, @ericd7633 I swear I've never even seen you on the forum yet you joined in 2013. Do you just post in the Eagles forum? My friend is a Notre Dame fan so I swear I would've seen your name by now. Not being cheeky, just don't see your name routinely on the main forum (I don't follow team forums much outside of Seattle).
I think hurts is that much better than Geno. Ive been a believer of his going back to pre draftDon't think it's that easy, how? Moving a QB like Geno to the Eagles, or trying to convince Eagles fans?
You said Eagles fans are too stupid to realize when we're being complimented, when what you're saying about the Eagles roster is beyond obvious. Yeah the Eagles have a great roster. So it shouldn't be a surprise when we react to someone who says Geno is = to Hurts. It's a pretty absurd take. Would be winning a SB in Seattle, I'd say no, but would Geno win one in Philly? Not a chance.
And no I'm not comparing their situation. Hurts is obviously in a better one. But that still doesn't mean Geno is his equal.
I post mostly on the other board, but post periodically on here in the NFL forum since there is more traffic here than the other one.
