Placing Iowa St. at #6 is just ridiculous. The Cyclones lost by 17 points at home to a team that is ranked 13 spots below them -Louisiana - a team whose only loss was by 3 points to an undefeated Coastal Carolina team that is also ranked behind ISU at #12. Ridiculous! Both the Chanticleers & the Ragin' Cajuns should be ranked ahead of the Cyclones.
Iowa State's other loss was by 3 at an Oklahoma St. team that lost by 7 to Texas (a 6-3 team), by 28 at Oklahoma (7-2) & by 7 at TCU (6-4). The Cowboys other signature win was 16-7 over 6-1 Tulsa.
ISU's signature wins were by 7 over Oklahoma & 3 at Texas. The Sooners lost by 3 at home to 4-6 Kansas St. The Wildcats were beaten at home 35-31 by an Arkansas St. team that finished 4-7 and lost by 29 to Coastal Carolina, by 28 to Appalachian St. & by 13 to Memphis - all on the road - while managing a close 7-point loss to Louisiana at home.
No way Iowa St. is a better team than Coastal Carolina or Louisiana.
