The pitching staff sucks. John Henry is more interested in his hedge funds than the Red Sox right now. Strangely, the Red Sox lost 9 in a row and now have won four straight. Hitting os starting to click but they can't win with a staff of other teams' rejects.

It's just too bad that you can't fire an owner.

Not for nothing, but that owner brought you your first title in 8 decades, and 3 more titles since then.

Now I feel like I need a shower.

Can you imagine if the Patriots don't make the playoffs this year?

dont worry just got guy with 15.88 era:suds:

Pivetta looked pretty intriguing in 2018, posting really good peripherals but his ERA underperformed his FIP/xFIP. his HR/FB rates have been very high

well if Perez is throwing 95 again, he will be much better.

that option for next year could be a blessing.

bloom has already filled out the back of next years rotation.

needs a #2 who can lead the staff so they bring sale along slowly next year

John Henry's focus has changed since he married his 3rd wife. He has given that flakey bitch far too much say in how things get done around Yawkey Way and I can't wait til he sells the team.

God damn, I loved that season so much.

I had pretty resigned myself to never seeing them win the WS and then those idiots came along. Crushing the Yankees' spirit and ruining that franchise was the cherry on top.

Losing Sale and Eduardo certainly didn't help, but even if they had those two healthy the depth was still very lacking. There's not much in the way of MLB ready/upper minors arms either. Bryan Mata's interesting but he had a 5 ERA in AA last year and Tanner Houck is probably more suited for the bullpen than as a SP unless he develops a reliable 3rd pitch. Jay Groome was a top prospect but his development has hit a wall with injuries. Kyle Hart is in the rotation now and while he throws 5 pitches, they're all fringe/average.

the rotation still needs a number 2 with both those guys healthy

All I needed to see was them claiming Godley and starting him. If anyone is taking Tiger rejects they're in trouble.

Trading a solid pitcher in Brandon Workman for pretty much nothing, because he is due to get paid this offseason, is very Tampa like
