You might be right, but so far this season, we continue to step on our dicks (i.e. Wisconsin). We move the ball between the 5s and 10s great, but have trouble once we get close and we have a QB that continues to throw bone-headed passes to the other team.

Our best win is against ISU. I have to see more.
That's fair

What is another game that Iowa did that? You named the 1 game where it was literally costly, and Iowa still nearly pulled it off.

- How do they look any better than Iowa's over the past month?

- Do you honestly think we are better than OSU?

- We'll find out about PSU on Sat and I hope we can finally get them.

- Wisconsin BEAT us at Kinnick

- Sparty is another team like UW, and PSU-we haven't shown we can beat them.

I think all our remaining games are winable, but we need to stop making dumb mistakes. I'm perplexed at many of Stanley's decisions. The kid goes full bonehead at times.

The other ones haven't cost us the game, but have kept the opponent within reach none-the-less. For example, Minny is driving for a score deep into Iowa territory in the 3rd with the game still within reach. Moss makes a great interception and the very next play, Stanley throws it RIGHT to the DB.

He did it Saturday too on a terrible, "what are you thinking" pass.

No. Ohio State is better. But over the past 3-4 weeks, I think Iowa has looked better. #2 was a tough one though.

Penn State was a tough one because they are the one with the toughest B1G top teams to this point. I didn't really cost them when they lost to Ohio State, because they played good. Like you said, Saturday will decide the argument.

One, a lot has happened since Wisconsin game. Second, Iowa looked good vs Wisconsin. Two special teams mishaps was costly, and Iowa has made sure they haven't happened again. That last TD Wisconsin had means nothing to me. Just made the game longer.

Lewerke has 8 TDs and 7 Int. He has a 6.6 average. Stanley has 16 TDs and 6 int, with 8.0 average. And though MSU has just as good, or better, rush defense than Iowa, they are far worse at pass defense. To me, Michigan State is at the same level as Northwestern or Purdue.

He tried lobbing it to Hockenson but the 30 mph wind took a 5 yard pass 15 yards. Hornibrook and Lewerke are far worse than Stanley at bonehead plays.

Michigan is obvious #1. All but 1 that I saw had Ohio State #2 and Iowa #3. Chicago had them switched. It is interesting after that. Penn State was #4 to #7. Wisconsin was #5 in all but 247, they were #6. Purdue ranged from #4 to #7.

Well, I think if we're reduced to debating who's the bigger bone-head between 3 QBs, we can fairly say they all win.

I can see where you're coming from jerms, but I'm not ready to make the kind of jump you're making. Iowa needs to show they can win a game against a good team. Losing to Becky at home sucks and really good teams don't do that.

Get a win at PSU and follow it up @ Purdue and I'll change my tune. Wins against 3 of the worst B1G teams, a MAC team, a FCS team and Iowa St don't impress.

Which division is more exciting right now? The two favorites to win the CCG are in the East and play each other the week prior. But the division is basically between those two.

Over half the West still could win that division and most of the games between them have yet to be played. But whoever wins will be underdogs in the CCG - even Purdue vs Ohio State.

If Hornibrook doesn't play Sat, we get to find out if @Great Dayne knows what he's talking about with Coan... I doubt he does any better... but you just never know until the "bullets are live".

Hmmmm sneaking suspicion if Hornibrook doesn’t start and Coan does well, @Great Dayne suddnely will be back from his vacation.

I believe it's pretty safe to say that most of the college football world will become Northwestern fans this Saturday night Nov. 3rd when the Wildcats host Notre Dame.

So it looks like if Michigan wins this week vs PSU the East will come down to OSU vs Michigan ( if PSU wins it's basically anyone's ballgane again ).

Likewise if Iowa wins at Purdue the West looks like it'll come down NW at Iowa the next week.

Big big games coming up the next 2 weeks

Where is the updated B1G rankings @iowajerms ? And I expect Nebraska to make a big jump up into the top 6 after putting together really impressive back to back wins
