Here's to a hopefully successful draft for us.

It would not shock me in the least if the Bears use rounds 1 and 2 on the D. Obviously in Rd 1 if Nelson is there, I trust Pace will take him. But he's really the only player on the O side of the ball I'd really really really want (Barkley notwithstanding, but he'll be history by the 4th pick). A lot of other O-Linemen that I would be fine with taking may all be gone by the time 39 rolls around. If so, I'd hope Pace wouldn't hesitate to pull the string on another player from the D side of the ball.

I'm making one super easy, guaranteed prediction prior to the start of the draft:

You will never hear louder or more prolonged booing than when the Commish makes his opening appearance at the podium.

Sorry, one more prediction, but this won't take place for a couple of years yet. I think the Browns, one of the most sorry franchises in all of professional sports, have finally gotten their act together and have a savvy GM in John Dorsey. They are loaded with prime draft picks, still have a ton of cap space, and are already blessed with some up and coming talent on the roster.

So my prediction is by 2020 they will be the dominant team in the AFC North and will likely be playing deep into the postseason. Not quite ready to say they will be in the SB, but they will be a solid playoff team.
