And the thing is….this kid could be really good. Great athlete, great size. And he’s still really young. So there’s a shit ton of potential.

But I just don’t see how this is smart roster building. And no amount of spin gets me there.

The backwards approach continues tonight because we're taking a running back at either 39 or 41. At least maybe, since there's a handful of decent ones available, we'll actually draft an edge too...

But yeah, TE/RB/Edge with our first 3. Didn't want to believe...but that's what it's gonna be.

On the lighter side of things...Did anyone see that f*cking ass on Will Campbell? That thing was a full on badonkadonk. My man was a giant-sized oompa loopa on the draft stage.

Everybody like "His arms too short." Well, if your ass is that massive who needs em?

Caleb deserved an ass like that in front of him.

Edge is deep enough that it can wait until 72, but then again Poles and Johnson and probably Allen as well have their BPA list, so there's no guarantee any position will be taken in the next two picks. I'm not ruling out the OL, altho there was a big run on that spot in the 1st round. And safety could be in play here as well.

Hey, seriously.....I really do hope we take a RB with one of these two picks. I can see holding off until round 3, but by then the pickings might be getting a bit slim.
All I ask is that you hold on for a moment before responding so I can prepare for the bombardment. :peep:

Would you guys be upset if tonite played out like this?

39. Bears: Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall
41. Bears: Quinshon Judkins, RB, Ohio State
72. Bears: Tate Ratledge, OG, Georgia

I'm still a touch more wishing for an OT at 39, then DE/Edge or DT at 72. But all in all, this would more than work for me.

Here's another one from WCG, this one covering all remaining picks:

39. Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina - Safety wasn’t my intention, nor is it a big need for the 2025 Bears, but the freakishly athletic Emmanwori (6’3”, 220) was too good of value to pass up. Dennis Allen would get him in the lineup as a big nickel, matching up against teams that run two tight ends, and in 2026, he’d slide into the starting lineup.

41. Landon Jackson, EDGE, Arkansas - With his non-stop motor, Jackson has some fun tape. He’s an explosive athlete with strong and active hands.

72. Kaleb Johnson, RB, Iowa - Johnson is a patient runner and would fit Chicago’s zone scheme and has the size (6’1”, 224) to run through arm tackles.

Just touching on the top three, but as you can see, it's quite different from the other 3 picker that I posted above. I'd be mildly surprised if Emmanwori was still on the board, but regardless, if the Bears are seriously considering a S at that spot, I hope Xavier Watts is still hanging around. He's my choice if we were to go safety there. I don't think Kaleb will last until 72, but if it plays out like this, works for me.

One thing to ponder is whether Poles is considering a trade using either 39 or 41. And no, not trading UP, I'm talking trading back or if not, then staying put with two picks that should produce quality players. But I'm wondering if there's a trade out there for one of those picks that would still keep the Bears in the 2nd round, but add an additional 3rd round as well. Food for thought.
