You are a big fan of DHop I guess.
Are you sleeping with him? You are very defensive of him?????
Two things really;

1) It's dumb when people don't watch the shitty teams and then try to say all their players suck.

2) It's dumb when people forget a guy didn't play for 6 games and just look at his season long stats.

Hopkins has been one of my favorite receivers since he was in college. Love his game. Some idiots always said he was too slow. Are they the same idiots as now? I do not know, nor do I care, but their stupid ass opinion should be checked against the facts, of which I have produced several.

Understood, but he's chasing 3/60M when he's already "technically" getting most of that $20M from the Cards (or more accurately, already got at signing and restructuring). If he was still a Card, he wouldn't be netting much more than what he already received, and certainly not $20M more.

There is zero chance Hopkins is seriously asking for a 3 year $60M deal at this point in the off-season with any seriousness. If he is, he going to be WILDLY disappointed.

The Ravens absolutely ridiculous contract with OBJ is the big comparison that Hopkins will be shooting for. But I doubt any team lets him hold that abomination of a deal as a comp. My guess is he gets a single year deal that guarantees $11m with some incentives that could push it into the $15M range.

So the Cardinals held him this long just to royally fuck him out of offseason money. Gotcha.

Your point is a good one, and I know that is what google says about Rice's 40 time, but...

While no official results were published from Rice’s 1985 combine, The Athletic's Bob McGinn reported that a scout in possession of the official results says Rice clocked in at 4.58 back in the days. And Bill Walsh is often quoted as saying Rice ran a 4.59.
Yeah, the actual numbers could very well be different. I never really gave a shit about the combine and pro days numbers because they mean nothing in the big picture. It was more to show how all that speed just doesn't translate to great receivers as much as people think. Some exceptions like Moss but Largent, for example couldn't outrun any DBs in his day. He could, however, set corners up and run great routes and get just enough separation to seemingly always move the chains. He also had great hands. I remember seeing ( I think) Lester Hayes saying he couldn't figure out how this slow ass white guy kept getting the best of him.

As a position player at age 30 this could be his last moment to really be relevant in the NFL he played his entire career in mediocre franchises he has the luxury to figure to choose his path. I wouldn't mind him going to the Chiefs and see him try to win.

People are acting like Hoplins is on his last legs or something. As. HoF WR he has years left him. He is the same age now that TO was when he went to the Eagles and TO was great for many years after that.

One retard anonymous executive - probably not even an executive and probably actually bill o brien - vomits into a reporter and the shlubs have to believe it.

Because they 1) don't watch the Cardinals and they 2) were too stupid to remember that Hopkins didn't play all 17 games.

I can name a ton more WRs that fell off about 30 then you couldn name that didnt fall off. Age 30 for position players is about that age where paying them a lot is high risk. Also for Hopkins he hasnt had a great season since he tore his MCL. Don't get me wrong I would sign him for a 1 maybe 2 year deal but I wouldnt risk giving him a large multi year contract and put my cap space at risk.

Well Hopkins isn't a ton of other WRs. He's a HoF one of the best ever. He has also shown no signs of going into decline.

What's wrong with last year? He produced on a shitty team with a shitty QB. The whole season was after his mcl was repaired.

Start naming the guys that were as good as Hopkins that fell off after 30...

Torry Holt kicked ass at age 31 and then the Rams hit rick bottom. You got anyone else close?

TO, tim brown, jerry rice, isaac bruce, larry fitzgerald, marvin harrison, reggie wayne, andre johnson, steve smith, cris carter, anquan boldin..

Vs

Julio Jones.

He got injured his age 30 year and missed 31.

I'd call that injuries robbing us of some great years.
