Absolutely. Eagles finally getting TO in 2004 was game changing. Patriots getting Moss in 2007 took them to a whole different level. Bills getting Diggs completely flipped the trajectory of Josh Allen's career. Burrow getting Jamar Chase took him to a whole other level. We just saw the jump that Hurts took when they added AJ Brown to go along with DeVonta Smith.

Also a guy outside of the top 10? Who are you referring to because both Lamar Jackson and Hopkins are top 10 at their position.
Been a minute, but who were the non-TO WR's on those Eagles again? Hopkins is arguably the #2 behind Diggs and Kelce respectively. I agree a 2nd option is very nice. AJ Brown is also a top 10 WR.

What argument are you even trying to make right now? What does you putting Hopkins behind Digs and Kelce have to do with the positive impact that Hopkins would have on the Ravens and how he would elevate them to another level finally giving Lamar Jackson an elite level WR?

Then you throw this curveball and nonsense post that AJ Brown is not a top 10 WR. First off if he wasn't, which he is, then wouldn't that only strengthen the argument that adding a great WR to a team that needs will help that team and QB? Second off, in what world and measurable is AJ Brown not a top 10 WR?

In 2023 he finished 4th in receiving yards (1,496), tied 2nd in TDs among WRs (11), on just 88 receptions with only the 10th most targets in the NFL.

Any team willing to give Hopkins a $60M/3 year deal would have given up a low pick to get him at $19.5M in 2023 and $14M+ in 2024.

Hopkins has value as a possession receiver, but those receivers aren't especially valuable.

What? Jerry Rice, Steve Largent, Larry Fitzgerald, Marvin Harrison, and Calvin Johnson were all possession receivers... the most important aspect of being a receiver is to catch the fuckin' ball.. You're useless if you can run an early 40 time and have stone hands...

Cooper Kupp?
It's a fair point. For my money Kupp gets separation through timing his break. This also generates yards after catch. Kupp isn't a contested catch receiver in the way Hopkins is. Kupp is a #1 WR who was rewarded with a $70M/ 3 years extension after the triple crown. Hopkins was a #1 WR who was looked at differently 2 years ago when he had 115 receptions on 160 targets. Then he was a $25M+ per year receiver. Now he's probably a $16M receiver with a PED and injury history. Maybe a Dez Bryant/Cooper Kupp hybrid.

Over the hump would apply to the Bills, but it really doesn’t. Allen is spectacular but he needs to mature and manage games better. Too much reliance on his run game. He needs to chill a bit to make it over the hump.

Chargers could apply to get over the hump too.

I can see things headed that way possibly. But it's been one of those things that gets brought up every few years and they haven't done it yet so who knows. I think the failures of those teams who get that first pick has shown that the tanking thing really doesn't work out anyway. Shitty organizations and bad front offices will continually fuck up.
Can't have the best college players going to the worst franchises. The franchise fucks them up and now the league is out a star player.

30+ YO slow as molasses possession WR that was just busted for PED's. Camp Hopkins/Koy are being unserious.

If the Bills and Chiefs were so insecure at the idea of Hopkins going to another team/contender, he would've been traded. Not released.
Slow as molasses?

You mixing up DHop with someone else?

DHop gets behind people, he can catch in front of people, he's a bad ass WR that's only 31 years old. Not 40.

Hopkins needs to sign a 1 year prove it deal and get paid next offseason IMO.
What the fuck?

10th in yards per game last year with dog shit throwing to him.
More yards per game than Travis Kelce.

4th in receptions per game
More than everyone besides Kupp, Jefferson and Chase.

Don't rely on me to set you people straight though. This is all available information. So were the live games.

It is almost fucking June.

Sign a 1 year deal and have a monster year and then sign a say 2-3 year deal next FA.

Eric Eager and I kinda thinking on the same page here methinks.

I realize @HaroldSeattle doesn't buy it when I say the Chiefs are just justifying not signing Hopkins. But the company line Donovan Smith's contract is causative of anything objectively makes no sense when their primary "competition" is ... the also cap strapped Buffalo Bills.

This reminds me a little bit of when Earl Thomas was on the market and the rumor was he was going to kc or Baltimore. Baltimore gave him a 2 year contract and KC let him go. I seriously doubt KC would want to give Hopkins a multi-year deal and someone else might

No one is going to give him the multi-year deal he would get if he just entered free agency next year. He's going to go with a 1 year deal because it makes the most sense for him and he isn't washed like Earl was.

Apparently there is a 'robust' market for Hopkins. So there you have it! He's going to sign for ESPN.
