You think he's the same cat he was a few years ago? I dunno, man...
He was suspended for games last season, not hurt.

His 79.7ypg last season is above his career average of 77.9.

His 64 catches over a 17 game season? 121.

His 35 first downs over a full season? 69.

His ypc was down a little but he is still a very good receiver.

Never said he wasn't good. Just not the same guy he was a few years ago...

'sides, he'll land a gig somewhere I'd imagine...

Then there's the money he'd want...

It's why I didn't wanna see him go to KC...

ESPN's Mike Reiss reports free agent DeAndre Hopkins remains in "no rush to sign" following his Patriots visit.

Hopkins left Thursday's Patriots visit without a contract, i.e. they did not offer him what he is looking for in the monetary department. Hopkins does have the benefit of time at this stage of the offseason, but it's because most teams are hard up against the cap. It's difficult to make the money tree shake in June. It seems clear that Hopkins will sign before training camp, but perhaps only just.

ESPN’s Mike Reiss confirms the Patriots are still pursuing free agent DeAndre Hopkins despite their recent DeVante Parker extension.
It’s not surprising after the finer points of Parker’s supposed “three-year, $33 million” extension came to light. Essentially, Parker is playing for incentives, with a low guaranteed base. It won’t get in the way of throwing big money at Hopkins. Although Nuk appears content to wait until closer to camp to choose a new home, New England still seems to be one of his most likely destinations.

Hopkins is very wealthy either way at this point. Chances at a ring are far more scarce than dollars for someone like him.
There’s probably some ego stuff coming into play here as well. He doesn’t believe he should have to play for less than 12-13 million a year.
