What the bitch heard:
One NFL executive told ESPN's Dianna Russini that his team would love to sign Hopkins ... but due to their limited cap space, their offer would be only a one-year, $2 million deal.

What the dumb bitch said:
Said Russini: "An NFL executive expressed a willingness to sign Hopkins for a mere $2 million if he’ll take it, but not more."

Southie: "Hopkins sucks and isn't worth shit"

Also Southie: "I listen to dumb hysterical bitches because ESPN puts them on my TV "

well I wasnt talking in a career.
We all know (well maybe one person doesnt know) that the more games you play the harder it is to keep an average up.
Look at Jefferson. He only has a handful of seasons. His # will be down by end of his career.

I was talking of a half season average. Where I am sure many in that time span could be averaging over 100 yds.
For instance if a player in one game averaged 80 yards. No one is gonna say he had a killer game.
My point being is he wasnt doing Great things last year as one person was claiming.

On a similar note I read today that Travis Kelce is going to be 34 this season. I don’t know why I was thinking he was a good 4 years younger than that.
He came into the NFL as an older prospect, was injured his rookie season with a microfracture, and was like 24 when he actually started playing.

80 a game is 1,500 yards a season. If that is declining I will take that…I do agree Hopkins is declining but if he goes to a contender and can play 10 games I think a short term deal is really good for that team

I think the Browns make a ton of sense for all parties in this one.

If he is willing to just take less money on a short term deal, reuniting with Watson would be a smart move. I expect the rust to be fully gone off Watson now and for him to have a good year and the Browns roster is still pretty solid. I just don't know if DHop can see the big picture though. He should realize that factors are against him getting top WR money. Age, the PED thing, etc. turn execs off a bit. I don't think it's his playing ability that is making teams back off. It's the price tag and attitude. We've seen this before with other players. It never ends in the players favor.

DHop wants his last big contract.

Well teams would be crazy to pay him close to $20M/year. I don't think he is getting close to that but I can see him getting half of that...which is fine.

Browns should be interested. After Cooper their WRs are subpar.

DPJ is a good young player but I don't know what his future is in this league. He was a 6th rounder-great value pick. He's fine for a #2.
Moore is tbd. That kid has all the potential in the world.

Yeah I would say they are middle of pack, 15-20. Nothing special but Moore gives them closer to top 10 potential.

If they were to sign DHop. That just means someone is likely getting traded or they don't want to pay DPJ next season.

Not too crazy about giving DHop more than a 2 year contract. I wouldn't give more than 2/26 but you could say that is a stretch. That would be top 15 next season but lower if you count long-term money. DHop has to realize he isn't young anymore. You are getting a bunch of guarantees and a long-term deal.

He'll produce more than other 20M/year wide receivers.

True, many called it all along. One year contract with incentives to prove and renew.
1 year @ 12-15 mill would be a good starting point.

He has technically already been paid most of what he was going to get this season in previous bonuses. He's trying to double up. $12-15M is reasonable, but even that could push him off the true contenders.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports the Titans are hosting DeAndre Hopkins for a visit.

As Pelissero notes, Titans head coach Mike Vrabel was a linebackers coach and eventually a defensive coordinator in Houston while Hopkins was with the team. Former Texans players have made a habit of joining Vrabel in Tennessee, so another reunion wouldn't be shocking. The Chiefs, Bills, Texans, and Browns have all been linked to Hopkins as well. The veteran receiver is taking his time in finding a new home after being cut by the rebuilding Cardinals in May. Coming off an impressive rebound that saw him amass 717 yards in just nine games last year, Hopkins will earn a massive target share no matter where he lands. If Tennessee is the answer, Treylon Burks' fantasy outlook would take a significant hit.

Plenty of room for both of those guys. Burks ain't a number 1. Would be a good get for the Titans to make another go while Henry is still killing.
