Fun fact of the day:
In the history of ACC basketball, only 3 times has the winning team doubled the score of the loser. Duke did it first in the 1950's. UVa has did it twice, THIS YEAR. Let that sink in for a moment.

Another fun fact. UVa has allowed more than 60 points only 6 times so far this season. Those teams are Maryland, Davidson, Miami, Duke, UNC and Wake. This team is special, fellas.

I also like Virginia. Decent size inside and a team that is very well coached. Not sure if any of those guys are a lock for the NBA which makes it even more impressive that they play so well together.

I was mentioning to jonvi yesterday that I thought Gbenijie is ready to go pro and I thought he was going to have a heart attack. Christmas is gone and if Gbenijie goes, that leaves Cooney in the back court. Yikes! They lost Grant and Fair last year early so it looks like next year is going to be a problem. No matter what, jonvi will be taking avatar bets on any game...he's a great fan.

ACC Tournament schedule "if" it were seeded today. This can still change easily.

With just one week left in the regular season, here's where things stand:

After removing Syracuse from the equation, here are the tournament seeds:
1. Virginia
2. Duke
3. Notre Dame
4. Louisville
5. North Carolina
6. Pittsburgh
7. Miami
8. Clemson
9. N.C. State
10. Florida State
11. Wake Forest
12. Georgia Tech
13. Virginia Tech
14. Boston College
-- Miami, N.C. State and Clemson are all tied with an 8-8 record. At the moment, Miami would win the three-way tiebreaker over the other two teams with a 2-0 record against the tied teams. N.C. State and Clemson are both 1-1 vs. the tied teams, but face one another on Tuesday. As it stands now, Clemson would earn the 8 seed over N.C. State with the Tigers' head-to-head victory over the Wolfpack, though all this would do is determine which team wears home jerseys in the 8-9 matchup.
-- Boston College and Virginia Tech are also tied at 2-14. The two programs will meet in the only regular season meeting between the two on Monday. Until then, the Hokies are the 13 seed with a victory over Pittsburgh (BC's best victory is vs. N.C. State).
And here's how the ACC Tournament would shake out if the season ended today:
First Round - Tuesday, March 10

(5) North Carolina vs. (12) Georgia Tech / (13) Virginia Tech winner -- 2 p.m., ESPN / ACC Network
(7) Miami vs. (10) Florida State -- 7 p.m., ESPN / ACC Network
(6) Pittsburgh vs. (11) Wake Forest / (14) Boston College winner -- 9 p.m., ESPN / ACC Network
Quarterfinals - Thursday, March 12
(1) Virginia vs. (8) Clemson / (9) N.C. State winner -- Noon, ESPN2 / ACC Network

Boston College is still locked into that 11 vs. 14 #therivalry matchup with Wake Forest, though that could change with remaining games against Virginia Tech and Wake Forest. If BC got past Wake, they'd be looking at a second round game against Pitt.

I don't know what Bennett said to these guys with 6 minutes left in the half but whatever it was, it sure as hell worked because that was some of the worst offense that I've ever seen in an NBA or NCAA game.
