Any team in the top 8-10 can finish strong, get healthy and do it. Even the top teams are going to have to have some things go their way. It’s a grind.
Every title involves at least a little luck, injury and otherwise

GS, Minny and possible Dallas healthy team could be tough outs for higher seeds
Late night ESPN radio the dude put the Warriors as #2 team in the West. That’s crazy of course but this new team is much better. I’d put them over everyone except OKC Denver and Memphis. Probably equal to Rockets and Lakers. Better than Clippers. Probably worse than fully healthy Dallas though

I like gs vs Memphis. Nor so sure about the nuggets. It's not extremely far fetched tho, you guys are contenders.

No one is a “contender” like the top 3 (OKC Cleveland Boston) though. Does Denver make 4? :noidea:

@eaglesnut will be happy

He wanted to rest Embiid for the playoffs anyway
As you can see it would have been the better plan. He could have been resting that knee. Could have even had surgery and come back.

Oh well. Maybe they'll be as smart as me next year.

They’ll eventually be on the same level as you. Just give them time

Except for the playoffs part.

You said they would make it no matter what even with Embiid resting.

I’m not sure that’s how failing a physical works.

That's 100% the narrative from the Lakers' side. He couldn't be relied upon for the future enough to give up the assets offered in the trade. Likely a degenerative situation.

One game, lmao. The lakers are in the top half of the league in most defensive categories, just not top 10.

Check the numbers since about Feb 1st when AD went down. They have changed from a team dependent upon AD to a team that swarms with small ball d. DFS was the first step, and finally getting Vando healthy was a huge piece as well (which also happened at the end of January).

As great as AD is defensively, he was always an issue in transition D, almost always trailing the play. As a result, Lakers were among the worst teams in transition D. With small ball and/or Hayes at center, that is much less of an issue. Say what you will about Hayes and his liabilities, but hustle isn't one of them.

I hope Len is at least playable when they need him, but thus far it seems promoting Koloko or Jemison would've been a cheaper and better move.

Guy, they are 1.5 games out.

Even with the crap they pulled. They didn't build the team to play without Embiid like they should have. (The correct eaglesnut plan)

And the current record has more to do with Paul George's injuries than Embiid. As you know, but are too chickenshit to honorably discuss on this topic.

I agree about your PG point. Him and Maxey should not be this bad
