Yeah, both are really well put together, players on both teams all seem to like each other and they're young. If they can keep the cores together and stay healthy...they're going to be trouble for awhile.
we can keep the core 4 a while.....issue could be those around them. Guys like Merrill, Wade and Jerome make next to nothing (think most is $6 mil to Wade) and I think all can be FAs soon. Neither has had a big payday and not sure what we'd be willing (or could) offer. Levert also has an expiring deal and think he's a bit underpaid ($16 mil maybe?).

In Cavs forums I'm in many are still trying to make trades every day despite the start. Because playing so well, all seems to also play well TOGETHER and like each other as you mention I'd be reluctant to do anything (unless things change by deadline). I could see maybe moving Levert IF it's clear he wants a lot more than we'd be willing to offer AND a clear upgrade for a guy under control beyond 2025.

Miami likely don’t even want that. I think Miami would take 2 solid players that’s either on the expiring contract or expiring in 2026

Detroit will gladly trade you a lightly used Tobias Harris and a slightly broken Tim Hardaway lol

Ugh, i see rumors with Detroit taking Beal with the same players involved in a 3 teamer. Fuck that noise. I'd rather have Lavine at this point

Not to mention Beal would not waive his NTC

I keep seeing the Thunder mentioned in Cam Thomas trades. No idea why, it’s not happening.

He wouldn't.....to Detroit. Not that Detroit should want him.

But, he might waive it in the right scenario.

Yeah cam Johnson. The Thunder may have 3 lesser paid guys right now that will end up as better players.

It always cracks me up when people do that...I'm a believer in "If it ain't broke. Don't fix it". After the Lakers won the title in 2020, they did a little bit of a roster overhaul and most said "Wow, they actually managed to upgrade a championship roster"...then the season started, injuries hit and some guys didn't fit as well as folks thought which led to the Westbrook trade disaster that they've been trying to recover from ever since.

Teams winning, looking like a serious contender and the players all seem happy...but some folks can't help but "tinker". lol

One of the things I love most about Sam Presti. His standard reply is “how do I know I don’t already have a guy as good or better already on my team”?

I think in those type of fourms the reason is simple. Many irrational, emotional fans who care most about fake personal wins. This way if the team does anything but win a title they get what they crave.....An I-told-you-so fake personal win. Hell, if we make even a small trade and do win the title they will claim a win because the team did what they said needed to be done.

I see a few "fans" who if they had their way the team would now be Mitchell and no one else on the roster.....Altman gone, as well. And they still think they've been right about everything. It's comical.

First and foremost, I want a GM who does not care what irrational, emotional fans think.

Jimmy is actually a horrible fit for the suns. It is no different than the Beal fit and Beal is actually a better shooter than Jimmy

I don’t agree.

Jimmy can actually defend.

Booker and Durant both are great shooters. Think it could work.

I think Phoenix is actually the one place that makes sense for Butler. That is if Beal wants to play in Miami.

Miami might even get an additional asset out if a deal like that because Beal contract is definitely worse than Butler’s.
